Total Failure. Came and did the backflow test on 7/25, cashed my check, but never turned in the test results to Hamilton County. Got a second notice from the county that the results were due.
Called him on 8/15, he said he didn't know what happened and would check right on it. Never heard back.
Called him on 8/18 at 4:30PM, he said he hadn't turned it in, but would call be in 2-3 hours. Never called back.
Called him on 8/19, no answer and left a voice mail. He never called back.
This person should NOT be in business!!!
He kept me informed when a previous job ran longer.
He was dead on the estimate of time to do the work.
He is very thorough and evaluated the overall water pressure to the water heater and the overflow valve.
He presented the situation to me and provided me the pros/cons of doing work above and beyond "just replacing the water heater".
Given a myriad of plumbing repairs the last 2 years I opted to take Tim's suggestions to reduce the pressure in the pipes and minimize future leaks throughout the house.
Tim work protective shoe covers and place a mat over the foyer hallway to prevent damage or dirt. After the job one could not tell that a repairman had been there.
I am left feeling exceedingly confident in our new water heater and that the multiyear issues with overall pipe leakage may now be solved given the new pressure reduction valve.
Thanks Tim!
My hot water was brown. I called Tim he came by the same day. He explained I would need to replace my hot water heater and why. He also checked to see if it was under warranty, which it was. He told me when he would return and how long it should take. Everything went great. Tim is a pleasure to work with.
I have a State Select direct venting gas water heater. It was cycling but stopping after a few seconds. Two error lights were also lit up. Based on Angie's List and luck, I called on a Sunday afternoon for emergency service. He picked up immediately, asked a few questions about my model and the situation, concluded what the most likely problem was, and then asked if I would like to try to tackle it myself or have him come out. I chose the DIY (with instruction) option.
He told me the specific tools I needed and then simply said call him back. I secured the tools, called, he walked me through a couple of items and then got me to the point of the minor work that was needed. He then told me to simply call him back when done and tell him whether it worked or not.
It worked perfectly. And, all along the way, he was a very professional, decent guy. I went so far as to say that he should send me a consult bill, and he just said to remember him next time. I'm sure for Sunday service, 98% of other companies (who even offer emergency service), would have been happy to charge me a large fixed fee for about 5-10 minutes of work if you know what you're doing.
He/they are guaranteed to be my first call from now on for anything in the scope of their services!
Second time, did not show up for appointment. Made another appointment. Second time, did not show up. Said he would call back to reschedule....did not.
Once he inspected my water heater, noting that it's a power-vent type (somewhat less common type), he recommended Rheem replacement. He gave me a figure and then told me that he recommended - but did not insist - on a couple of items which would help provide for a longer life of the furnace, to include a water-pressure relief tank and a ball valve to easily drain the tank. He said these would be approximately an extra $100. Very reasonable. When he arrived on Monday (I didn't insist on having him ruin his weekend with a Saturday install) he installed a couple of ball valves (to get to "code" standards) after he reworked both the gas & water piping as well as the ventilation piping.
He put several hours into getting our new heater installed - and installed properly. Afterwards he gave me a thorough walk though on what he had done, the safety features of the water heater, how to turn off anything that I might need to next time, how to drain it properly and presented me with a bill for the exact amount we discussed. Nothing extra! Add to that his understanding when I didn't have proper payment that day due to my wife having the credit card we were putting it on and you can tell I'm a highly satisfied customer.
I will call him again with any other plumbing problems.
We hear a clanging noise in our plumbing when we flush the toilets, water is running from faucets, using the dishwasher and clothes washer. His solution was to hand us a package with a hammer arrester in it.
We are back at square one with none of the problems fixed and having paid for 2 hours of discounted plumbing services. We did have another plumber come over and take care of the clanging pipes. It was fixed in less than an hour. The same plumber has ordered new shower fixtures and is going to replace them.
