Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati

The finished project is excellent! It was completed just two days ago, but has not rained yet so I have not seen the results in action yet. The gutter estimate and and preinstallation contacts were all handled by the same people who managed the roof replacement. The emphasis was always on the roof, which cost about 4-5 times as much, but I had to bring the topic back to gutters several times to be sure I knew what I was getting. The roofing supervisor explained how the gutter crew would operate, the scheduling, and invoicing. The gutter crew arrived the night before installation to review the materials needed and said they would begin around 9:00 the next morning. They showed up almost an hour early and I think they were hoping the rain would be ending soon. They waited out the rain for about two hours and I appreciate their persistence to get the job completed. Once they started they worked efficiently and finished before 1:00. The new gutter system looks excellent and much more stable than the original. I asked for a second color for the downspout running across roofing shingles over a garage apron and it is even better than I had hoped. Differing from my experience with the roof replacement, there was no dialogue or additional supervision by company officials. Several times from the beginning estimate through to the completed project I was told I would be selecting the colors being used, but that never happened. However, the choice of colors seems to be fairly limited and since I was only trying to match existing colors of my house my goals were met in more than satisfactory results.

I got 3 estimates for the project. Bone Dry was the most expensive by far, however they proposed doing the most work and went into the most detail about what needed to be done, so it's hard to say they were too expensive. They did excellent work in a reasonable amount of time. My only complaint concerns the fact that removing old brick and mortar is very dirty work and a lot of dust got on my screened porch. When I brought this to their attention , they put up a tarp to protect the porch. They also offered to blow off the dust on the porch. I declined this offer as I felt the porch needed a more thorough cleaning.

I was very pleased overall with the process and if I need another roof in the next 50 years, (highly unlikely) I would definitely go back to Bone Dry. They have a very thorough approach beginning with reviewing the current roof from underneath using the attic and then creating a digital video showing the details of the initial inspection. The salesman, John, came back to review it all with me a second time at my request. The project was scheduled and proceeded on time from start to finish. I was sent pictures of the work when the old shingles had been removed and the original plywood was exposed, then as the underlayment was applied, and as the shingles were completed. Cody, the crew supervisor along with Scott and Steve representing the management also reviewed the job during the day in person and as parties to the text message updates. There was a follow up review the next morning. Every contact I had with the company was pleasant and they always let me know what to expect next and even suggested I contact my homeowner's insurance to find out if I could get a discount for the new warranty. Overall I was very pleased with the experience and found the company to be well developed to provide excellent service to their customers. This is a very busy season and I had a couple of glitches in communications, other than that I would highly recommend them.

From start to finish, the project went smoothly. I did have some wood that need to be replaced but this was not unexpected. 10-12 people showed up and finished in one day. They cleaned everything up. We only found a few nails. They took off Ray St. Clair installed Gutter Helmets and put them back on. This was basically free. Ray St. Clair wanted $1800 for this service (which is ridiculous). In the end, most of the gutter helmets worked but the front of the house. Ray St. Clair did have to come out to replace these at a cost of $500 (which is way less then $1800). They took photos of everything along the way. I did have other estimates that were a bit lower and Ray St. Clair was a lot higher.

Went well. Now we wait for a driving rain to see if the leak is fixed.

Price was cheaper than competition and did more work. Showed up on time as scheduled. I didn't even need to be there. Nice job!

Very well. The work was done on time, effectively, and at a very reasonable price. The quote was far less than another we sought because they told us that the other contractor indicated unnecessary work needed to be done -- even though we specifically asked and they could have "bid up" the job.

The job went wonderfully. The person estimating the job was very knowledgable about the the cause of the problem...offered ways it could be corrected...the crew were on time every day...they worked about 5 days to rebrick the wall..every day the area was cleaned up before they left...they went to great lengths to exactly match the existing brick to keep cost down...the estimate was not only fair but a little less than expected...the job supervisor was not happy with how 6 bricks had been installed and sent the crew back to redo just those few,,the company is very dedicated to high quality work,,,thanks angies list and bone dry

My in-laws had a roof put on by them and they were quite pleased with them too. The guy told us we had about 3 years left on our roof and he was right.

They were good. We were pleased. They came and did the work they said they would do. They are very fair priced. It was an inexpensive fix. My husband has been pretty pleased with their over all work and price. They have been to our house before and we have always been pleased with their work. They are real good. They come when they say they will. Once my husband finds a provider that he likes, he tends to stay with them.

Supplies dropped night before; called prior to arrival by (1) hr. Roof put on pictures taken by company as progressed, all debris picked up and removed.

I had quotes from four roofing companies, BoneDry not the lowest or the highest quote. I chose them because the sales person explained all details for me and answered my questions in a professional manner. The chimney work was done first, on time and to my satisfaction. The shingles were delivered day before work scheduled. The roofing crew arrived early next dand kept me posted on all steps with pictures taken on my roof. Roof was installed completely in one day and all debris cleaned cleaned up, including going over my yard with a magnet to find stray nails. Later I found my bathroom was making noise and Bone Dry was here next day to take care of it. I am very pleased that I chose Bone Dry for my new roof.

Did not perform the work and was invoices anyway. Called in and was passed from receptionist to sales to technician without a callback.

From quote to repair, Bone Dry was very responsive and professional in their work. The expectations provided at quote stage were all met. They provided updates and photos on the work as it was performed. We did need to call them back because they missed one part of the work order. They promptly responded to the call and apologized for not completing the work order on the first visit.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional. I would highly recommend them.

It was good. The first week was cancelled because it rained. They were pretty honest and straightforward. Responsiveness was pretty good.

Generally, we were happy with the inspector/sales rep as well as the laborer. Unfortunately a couple days after repairs were done, we had water coming in during a storm. The water came in right where the skylight was replaced. I called the sales rep who was dismissive, stating that happens a lot during bad storms. I could tell he was very busy, probably at another site. So I sent an email, and he was very responsive to that. The problem was fixed quickly and without additional cost to us. Our insurance company only covered a fraction of the cost though. One might think of course, it's the insurance company! But, they were able to provide us actual quotes for the same work done by other companies, and it became pretty clear that Bone Dry does charge high in comparison. With that said, the work was quality work. I would consider using them again, but next time will make more of an effort to receive multiple quotes before committing.
