Excellent knowledge and service. Jim Britt had superior knowledge of what needs to be done to trees. He's been in the business for decades. He has some employees that just clear out the limbs and rake the mess. The left the yard in perfect condition. When asked what I wanted taken out for trimming excess limbs out of the trees, I instead told Jim that I didn't know. That's why I hired him as the expert. I said trim my trees as if they were yours. He did, and I was totally satisfied. Great work at a very fair price. In fact, he was considerably lower than a well qualified, experienced competitor. Britt Tree Co will always be doing my trees in the future.

We solicited several estimates to have a large sugar maple that had developed a split and was dying removed from our back yard. One provider would not even quote the job stating the tree was dangerous, another quoted over $3,000 to have it removed. Britt's estimate was half of that and they came well recommended by our normal arborist who referred them as the tree was beyond his capabilities. We contracted with them to do the work, and I am beyond pleased with the job they did. They placed us on the schedule a few weeks out, called the night before to confirm, and showed up on time the next morning. All workers were polite and professional, and they were already making significant progress when I left for work even though their work was unhurried and their were taking their time with all cuts and climbing due to the size of the tree and its proximity to the house, power lines, and other trees. As it was in a backyard, the tree was taken top down very carefully. When I came home, not only was the work completed and all debris hauled away, but the drive and street were swept, the back gate was locked just as they found it, and the mulch from the stump was neatly spread. We will definitely be using them again if the need ever arises.

I received a call a day ahead and said they would be out that next day (early afternoon) if that was okay with me. Two trucks pulled up around 1:00 PM. One truck pulled the chipper and the other truck pulled a large trailer with a stump grinder and a skid loader. I liked the fact that all the work (tree AND stump removal) was being done at one time. The two men were both polite and professional. By two o'clock the tree was gone. 1 1/2 hours later the stump was gone. They did a very good job cleaning the area up. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL BRITT BACK NEXT TIME I HAVE ADDITIONAL TREE WORK.

I am very overdue with submitting this review, It went very smoothly! He called us the day before coming out to do the work, took care to not damage surrounding vegetation, worked fairly quickly, and cleaned everything up afterward. He has done excellent work for us before, trimming Norway spruces, etc.

Jim Britt and his office staff were punctual in their communications. He took his time during the estimate to answer all my questions and explain everything he planned to do.
I know enough about trees to know that Jim Britt REALLY knows his stuff. I get the impression he's had many years experience.
His estimate was for $100 but when he finished he said "just make it $75." I told him we'd compromise and I gladly paid him $85.
It's apparent that he loves trees and he loves his work. He's very friendly and easy to talk to.
I would definitely call him again when I need any sort of tree care or tree removal work done.

Very impressive job. Responded to my call and supplied quick turnaround of estimate. Upon acceptance they called to say the storms had them very busy and they would schedule as quickly as possible. That was end of day on Wednesday the 2nd. I went out back to mow on Friday morning the 4th and immediately noticed that not only was the leaning 40+ foot tree gone, there was no evidence it had ever existed in that spot nor evidence they had even worked in the back yard! Thanks for a job well done!

So I should have reviewed them after the first job, I just missed the focus and didn't get it done. Sorry Jim, but after getting to know our family a little you know how crazy my life is.
The first project was big, 20 or so 40-50 ft trees, several of them close to our house. I talked to several companies and decided on Jim because of what I thought was a great knowledge of not only cutting but taking care of trees and the way he talked about trying to do things and things to not do...he helped provide an education along with a service. I was not disappointed in the first experience nor in my last experience, or should I say most recent experience with him and his company. Because I will use them again in the future...we have a lot of trees and still a few ash trees that we are trying to save.
On the first day of our first project, the team, led by Jim's son Dan, arrived the first morning and started talking about how things were going to be done and going over any last details/questions and then they went to work. Jim arrived with a guy driving a very large crane that they brought in for the trees near the driveway, it was really sad to watch some of those large trees disappear into the chipper like that...but we couldn't wait for the emerald ash to take them down and possibly fall onto our house.
They roped and dropped trees, really fantastic to watch an experienced team (they are both, experienced and a hard working team) bring down trees by tying them to other trees to take them down gently in sections, they cleared some brush and hauled away the debris. They made adjustments on the fly when we needed to adapt...there was never a delay or an obstacle, just a slight change in the plan.
The last project was when mother nature decided to take out a couple of extra trees and we had some extra stumps ground, again professionally done and always doing the little extra to make the project look right when they are done.
I would highly recommend them for any project.

I wouldn't have anybody else but them. I have used them for 15 years. If you have a dead tree in you yard and you have them cut it down you would never know the tree was there because everything is cleaned up when they are done. Other companies leave stuff around or don't get the route core of the tree out, but Britt does it all.

I don't have any complaints with them. I don't remember anything that I was not happy with. I liked the workers. They were all young guys and they all seemed very polite and answered questions. Overall, they did a good job and I would use them again in the future.

Had an old silver maple leaning over the house and electric lines. It survived a major ice storm, but in the spring it had to go. Got multiple quotes - Britt was by far the most professional. Didn't show up smelling of whiskey like 2 of their competitors! Had multiple cherry pickers to drop the tree and multiple workers to reroute traffic. Glad we cut the tree - the limb over the house was hollow!Pricey, but fair. This was a very challenging job and it was handled perfectly. Cleanup was excellent - only one dent was left in the yard.Highly recommend this company.

I thought that the price was reasonable. I know that he is a specialist in trees and he knows what he is doing. He gave us some advice on our Ash trees. He was very courteous and is definitely a way above normal tree people. He is a certified arborist. His crew was pleasant and they did a good clean up. I just think he did what was necessary. I don't think that he was the cheapest. He couldn't get to us for four months but he told us that.

James Britt is the nicest guy that I have ever met. He is an arborist. Everyone who works for him is at the top of their game. They are fabulous. He does what he says he is going to do and he is very reasonable. I have used him for thirty two years. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.

Even thought they were experiencing heavy demand because of the ice storm, they were prompt, professional, and courteous. And the price was competitive. The total time from my initial contact to a satisfactory finish was less than 48 hours. I plan to call on them for all my tree service needs in the future.

I have used Britt Tree Service for many years, typically asking them to come back at least every two years. In Sept 2008, they were able to save a mature green ash that had been damaged by the remmants of Hurricane Ike. I have also had them remove large trees and grind out stumps over the years. This visit, they trimmed two large, very tall locust trees. As usual, they expertly pruned my trees (pruning correctly is essential to maintaining the health of the tree), cleaned up everything, and even swept off my entire deck. I have the utmost confidence in the owner, Jim Britt (a certified arborist), and his team. I won't use anyone else!

I take care of a mid sized commercial building in Beavercreek that is surrounded by Bradford pear trees. The trees needed to be trimmed back from the roof of the building, as well as trimmed and shaped. I called 4 companies to look at the job. One company could not provide a workers comp certificate. Two of the others gave me a price ranging from $2300 to $4800, and they all said they would "cut the trees back and top and shape them". I hate when a tree is "topped". Jim Britt was the only person to look at the job and talk about the health of the tree's, the long term look of the tree's and how to best shape and manage what was there. He was very friendly and you could tell he enjoyed what he does. We scheduled the job, they showed up (before I did) and got right after it. When they were done, the place looked great. Everything was cleaned up, none of the tenants were inconvenienced, and above all the trees look great! I deal with a lot of different contractors, and I can tell you Britt is a pleasure to work with. If you need tree work done, make one call to Britt.

BRITT IS A GOOD MAN. HE KNOWS HIS BUSINESS. WHEN HE TRIMS A TREE IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE IT WAS HACKED UP, IT LOOKS VERY NATURAL. HE TAKES CARE OF ALL THE CLEAN UP AND GRINDS DOWN THE STUMPS.
