SOUTHEASTERN SECURITY ALARM

The young technicians were courteous and professional. My beef is with the manager/owners. This local company uses a national control center as most alarm services do. Never were we as customers given performance criteria as to what we could expect in responsiveness in the event of a power failure, phone line failure etc. Each situation has happened for a prolonged period without a call (to our alternate cell number) by the service. When I contacted the center myself I was told they are mandated to call within an hour for non-emergent situations, and they did know about the failure conditions when I asked. Also, as we upgraded our system from landline to wireless, we expected the company to activate all product features as shown on product literature, namely, a wireless phone app that one can use to see the status of your house alarm via the control center. My request to complete this service has been ignored. The only reason I consulted this company recently was to upgrade an existing system that they installed years ago. If I needed a completely new system I would not use this company, instead I would self install one of the many fine DIY systems available whereby one can check in from afar and get instant notification via app in addition to police response. In summary: Local owner/manager and an un-named national central control station both get a POOR rating from me.
