The plumber that actually came was a really nice guy. He did great work and I didn't have any problem with the gentleman that came out here, but the company just charges entirely too much. I didn't do any price comparing before using them, but everyone I asked afterwards quoted me much less to do the job.

Arrived same day as call to company, but later than promised due to delays on a previous job, which I find understandable in that line of work. He had a look at the drains and decided to come back the following day with his truck mounted high pressure water jet unit. Arrived back the next day in the afternoon, and got the sanitary line cleared. Then went to work on the storm drain, using the high pressure drain cleaner with a root cutting head. Had the drain mostly cleared with water beginning to drain when a fitting broke on the pressure cleaner. Water was draining at this point so it was OK. He came back the next day on his own and for no charge after repairing the unit and snaked the drain again in case he had missed something the day before. He then ran a camera through both drains. In the sewer line he found a piece of cast iron drain pipe that had fallen in when another part of the main drain line had been replaced by a previous owner, he was unable to remove the piece due to its location in a bend of the pipe, and gave us suggestions if we continued to have problems with this line, including price for digging it up and replacing or re-routing that line to the main drain trunk, which would be a much cheaper option.
In the storm sewer line he found several places where the ceramic tile pipes under ground were cracked but not collapsed which was letting the roots grow into the line. The property had been vacant for several years as a forclosure before my purchase so the inactivity in the house was part of the problem. He suggested pouring salt water down the drain on a regular basis to kill the roots and keep them from clogging the line, and that eventually if the clay pipe completely collapsed would need to be dug up and replaced. But also said he would not go to that extreme as long as the line continued to drain.
Overall satisfied with the performance and helpful suggestions on these problem drain lines, especially liked the fact that he returned the next day on his own to make sure the job was completed correctly, although the price was higher than I would have liked to pay, I feel it was fair considering the amount of work done; 2 lines cleared, roots removed, camera inspections of the lines; and was no higher than his original estimate. At the time of this review over a month later (and after 5 straight days of rain from Hurricane Sandy) both are still draining properly, and the basement is dry!

Every thing went well and this is the second time we have Randy Greene as our service tech, my wife was very pleased.  HE came on time, we reviewed the job, he did it. Found the chipmunk nest and cleaned it out with the right tools. He re-inserted the camera and confirmed blockage was gone.  Then he found the broken drain pipe and replaced it.  My wife is very happy with the results.
