Every aspect of this project was easily the best experience we have had with a major project and contractor. Our initial contact and project manager, Colby, was a pleasure to work with, wanted to know what we wanted, provided useful and helpful advice, did not try to steer us where we didn't want to go, was straight with us on what he could and couldn't do, and together we came up with a plan that fit our needs and budget for both roofing (already completed) and siding (materials ordered and on the horizon). For the project we had in mind we felt the price was reasonable. Anthony, the on-site project manager, was very professional and followed up quickly to clear up a couple of minor issues we noticed. The roofing crew did their job and everything was cleaned up. It was a two day job, but even after the first day the yard was cleaned up and everything neatly put away. We haven't found any nails in our yard which was important with dogs in the yard. Everything was hauled away and no trace they were here other than our beautiful new roof! We are definitely happy customers and enthusiastically recommend American Way Exteriors to others.

American Way Exteriors We engaged American Way for two separate projects. The first was to replace the shingles on our existing roof. The second was to replace the siding and some of the trim with James Hardie products. The planning and execution for our roofing project were unsatisfactory. The shingles were not delivered on time. The Ex-Production Manager and the crew were not in communication, so this issue resulted in a significant delay in completion of the project. The roofing installation crew shingled over our bathroom exhaust fan, forgot to install the agreed upon ridge vent and put so many nails in one section of the roof that, according to the current Production Manager, the siding crew couldn’t remove the trim to replace it. Once pointed out, the ridge vent issue was addressed the next day, the exhaust fan took over two weeks to address and the remaining issues are still outstanding 5 months later. The second project was the replacement of the siding on 3 sides of the house with James Hardie siding, as well as replacing some of the trim, covering the beadboard with James Hardie product and wrapping the window trim in aluminum. I signed the contract on 10/3/19. I was told at that time they had one project to finish and they would start the following week. On 10/17/19 I started emailing and calling our salesperson for updates, there were some calls and emails that were responded to, but many that went unanswered. On 11/26/19 the project, which we were told was a 5.5-day project, began. On 12/27/19 the project is not yet complete. From the time of our first meeting in early May, I emphasized that I was concerned about how the siding replacement would be impacted by the need for electrical and HVAC penetrations into the house. We were told repeatedly that it would not be an issue. We were promised an electrician would be on site, at a cost to us of $500, and a walk through with the project team lead would be scheduled prior to working commencing. The walk through never occurred. The day of the project the team lead asked me when the electrician was coming. When I spoke with the project manager, he stated “that Javier didn’t need an electrician, he should handle it himself. The resulting siding installation is totally unacceptable, and the cable box is still hasn’t been remounted. While the project is not yet complete, there are obvious workmanship issues: large gaps where the James Hardie siding wasn’t properly measured and cut, damaged Hardie bead board installed and aluminum wrapping of the trim that is of totally unacceptable quality.
