"Thank you for your feedback [member name removed]. I am sorry that your experience was not satisfactory to and I am disappointed to hear this. We have thousands of very happy and satisfied clients that send reviews to 'listen 360' and I do not recall seeing this review come in or I would have caught it faster. If there is ever an issue with an inspection we want to help and be able to resolve this as usually it is a misunderstanding between the client and the inspector. We strive to have the best inspectors and be the best inspection company in the business and I feel terrible that this was your experience. Other than the hot water tank age being miss quoted, was there more? There are over 1,600 different things we look at during an inspection and this apparently was an error on the inspectors part if the year was input wrong. Again I am sorry and we would be happy to make this right."
"Its awesome to hear from clients that are satisfied and continued to come back! Thank you for your business!"
"Thank you for your business, you are a valued customer and we appreciate your kind words."
While the inspection seemed thorough and complete at the time, we later learned about several things that had been missed, including roofing and major plumbing issues. The most major of the problems - plumbing - involved major past damage to structural beams for a shower that were not detected because they deemed a crawl space and quot;too small to fit intoand quot; so they didn't enter it - all plumbing for 2 main baths is housed in this space, so they actually never even looked at the plumbing for that entire side of the house. Meanwhile, my husband who is 6' tall AND our plumber who is nearly 6' can both fit into the crawl space just fine (and our plumber and his assistant have, unfortunately, had to go into that space multiple times over the past couple years). The shower substructure was so damaged the entire thing had to be gutted. The other main bath also had more minor plumbing issues that were not uncovered in the inspection.
The roof, which they deemed and quot;old - more than 20 years oldand quot; but did not make any comments on its condition, was seriously damaged by a hail storm from a year or 2 earlier and could have been fully replaced by the previous owner's insurance policy, as that hail storm was still being covered for folks who were affected by it. However, because they did not see or note that damage, within 3 months of moving in we had to replace the roof due to major leaks around the chimney and the overall prexisting damage - which they did not pick up (but three separate roofers all did note it when we were getting estimates, and gave us their sympathies as they said and quot;this could have been fully replaced by the last owner at no cost to anyone...and quot;).
After these discoveries, which have cost us approx. $20,000, communications w/ the owners were unpleasant and they were very unprofessional - no customer service skills at all. Their artbitration clause makes it impossible for the client/customer to combat any wrongdoings without spending between $1,000-2,000 in mediation/legal fees. I would never use this Pillar to Post team again (or any Pillar to Post franchise), and would certainly not recommend them.
"We are very sorry to hear of your response as we try to listen and address all concerns of our clients. We strive to have everyone have an amazing experience with Pillar To Post and have a very high rating of satisfied customers on our Net promoter scores which actually give a chance for all our clients to give there reviews not just the ones that are on angies list. Our contract simply protects us from unseen issues that we could not have been able to determine during a visual inspection at that time it was done. If a client is dissatisfied with our inspection we refund their money. The only time this does not happen is when we clearly state that things should have been further looked at and there was no action taken to address these concerned areas. We recommend everyone to review and follow up with the report comments and the conversation we have during the inspection. Most complaints come from the fact that the unknown was actually pointed out and not followed through. This inspection was done over 3 years ago and it was posted in July, that makes it very hard to comment on it accurately. Again, I am very sorry for misunderstanding and feel badly that we were not able to make you happy."
"This person was contacted, and there claims were found to be bogus. A complete misunderstanding of a home inspection. Pillar To Post attempted to inform and reason with this client but some people are really beyond reason. Its unfortunate because its the exact opposite of what most of our clients will tell you. Sorry we could not appease you."
