DAVIS PAINTING

I had used Matt before with few problems. I was to be first on his list in spring of 2013 for house painting. This was to complete the job he had not finished in the fall of 2012. Our home is brick and wood sided. Matt and his crew showed up very sporatically. The paint on the wood siding bubbled. When I asked him about it his response was, "it's wood".I would like to add that the paint being used was Sherman Williams top of line $42.00 gallon outdoor paint. Matt took a Bob Evans paint job this spring. I am sure he was under contract to finish the work on a certain date. When in JULY, our house was STILL not completed, I spoke to him about recommending someone he knew to complete the job. He insisted he would complete. He sent an statement, I withheld $2000. stating he had to complete job before I would complete payment. Three more weeks went by with no word. At that point, we terminated his employment. I had to find another painter. It is now 9/2/13 the house will just be completed this week. We lost an ENTIRE summer due to Matt's lack of honesty that he really could not complete the job in a timely manner. Matt also used gutter service that he subbed out without my knowledge. It was my understanding he was doing the work himself. He never provided me their name or number. I had to pay AGAIN for the gutter work to be done properly. I have photos to back up all the issues discussed above.
