AMERICAN RENTAL-BUDGET TRUCK RENTAL

The employee when we went to get the truck messed up on the charge. He charged the account that we had used to make the reservation instead of the charge card we provided him. This unauthorized used of the card messed up our credit limit. When we asked the employee, and subsequently the owner to credit back the charge made on the wrong account and resubmit the charge on the card we gave him, they were both rude and uncooperative. The owner, Steve, was verbally abusive and hung up on us repeatedly, even though we remained calm throughout(don't ask me how with this kind of treatment)! We eventually had to go through Budget corporate and Discover to get things straight because American Rental would not cooperate to fix their mistake.
