I have RAM out to inspect my furnace and A/C unit once per year and in March they found that there were cracks, leaking water, etc. in my furnace, so I purchased a new one from them. They brought it out and installed it the same day, with minimal mess. The furnace worked well the rest of the winter. Good job!

My furnace went out several times over a weekend.  The first time it went out I ordered more oil, thinking maybe I ran out. The furnace started and ran for a day, then went out again.  So I had a neighbor come over and look at it.  The neighbor got it restarted and it worked for aother day, but then went out again.  The last time it went out I couldn't get it to go again.
I called R.A.M. because they were right around the corner from me, it was early in the morning and I was freezing.  I told the man who answered the phone at 6:00 am that I didn't have heat, that I have oil heat, and that when I hit the reset button, I smelled oil but the furnace wouldn't kick on. He said that wasn't good and that he would be over about 8:45 because he had to take his son to school. (Bonus points - business is family oriented)  He ended up running a little late, so he called to let me know he was going to be a little late. (More bonus points - very much appreciated!!)
He and his brother and other family members showed up (it's a family business) and took a look at the furnace. I had no idea how old the furnace was, and since it was an oil furnace, I was afraid they didn't make parts for them anymore. After looking at it for a minute, the one I talked to on the phone came up to tell me that the furnace was old and pitted and needed to be replaced.
He explained that they had a new oil furnace in stock and could have the old one out and the new one in that morning. The price threw me - oil furnaces are a whole lot more expensive than gas furnaces, but I told him to go ahead and replace the furnace. (I never had priced an oil furnace so I had no idea how expensive they were, but several people have since confirmed that the new oil furnaces have a lot of EPA stuff on them which makes them a lot more expensive than a gas furnace - but still a lot cheaper than converting to gas).

While they were replacing the furnace, a friend stopped over. R.A.M. had the old furnace out and it was sitting in the driveway. My friend looked at the furnace and said - wow, that's shot - it's all pitted! (More bonus points - an independent party verified that the furnace was indeed, shot.)

By noon they had finished!  The new furnace was in, had been tested, and was running well.  The basement was totally cleaned up - you would never have known any work was done down there that morning. (Major bonus points!!!!)  The old furnace was taken away and they had installed a new, digital, thermostat in my living room.

They were all very nice and they took the time to explain things to me (what they had done, why, what to expect with the new furnace, etc.)  They asked if I had any questions, and when they left, it looked like they had never been there (except for the brand new furnace).  I would and HAVE recommended R.A.M. to friends and neighbors.  In fact we talked about adding central air in the future.  If I decide to go ahead, R.A.M. will definitely get the job!!

I would like to say as a homeowner, as a Husband, and as a parent These guys went above and beyond the cause.I have two children ages 3 and a half, and 14 months, and the oldest has a minor heart condition and cannot afford to get sick prior to an upcoming surgery..I say this because these group of hardworking Americans pulled employees from other job sites so my Family could have Heat as quickly as possible..This was told to me by my wife, as I was at work, and she had informed that these were the nicest people possible. Therefore I greatly appreciate their efforts, their ethic, and their outstanding citizenship. Also As of late I have been experiencing some questionable circumstances with other companies in other businesses, and It feels great to be able to provide a positive review such as this..I have already recommended R.A.M to my parents, and friends on Facebook, and they were pleased to hear such a positive experience..Consider this my recommendation for future customers.......On behalf of my family I give great thanks and blessings..............................................David C Platt
