This was one of the Big Deals, and we had been looking to get this work done. I called and explained what we wanted and made an appointment. They called several times before the appointment date to verify various details so they could arrive prepared, which I really appreciated. They came and the work did take longer than expected, but we do have a rather complicated setup here. Professional from start to finish and they showed my wife how to make the switch when needed. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet on our own, but it looks like very good work. Will definitely use them again for electrical work.

I cannot say how nice it is to move to a new area and find a service professional such as Mel at Family Electric. I called him out to look at our electrical system in our new house and he alerted me to several issues that need to be dealt with--he did not pressur eme he just took the time to explain the facts and over four different options of various work and price. Literally a solution for every budget so to speak. We decided to upgrade and relocate the service panel. Mel upgraded our service from an old 100 amp Federal Pacific panel to a new 200 amp service panel. He also moved our service entrance to open the entire back yard to our 4 year old son and his friends. The old service entrance went to the middle of the back of the house and I literally could jump up and grab it. During a pick up kickball match between the neighborhood kids the line was hit three times within one hour. He also walked around our house and installed GFCI outlets as needed. Then he installed three timer switches for three exhaust fans in our bathrooms. He also ordered and installed several new fan motors for excellent exhaust fans with burned out motors. He took the time to explain everything to me. If you need electric work done call Mel--period. He is my electrician for life! Thanks Mel!

Mel was here on time; he performed the above services within the time frame he had estimated it would take for the job. He was very pleasant, professional, confident and informative. My husband and I were very impressed with his scope of knowledge -- plus, we really liked him! We will definitely recommend him to our friends and family, and anyone else who needs electrical service.
