Big Ed & his son fixed all the problems -- repaired what they could, replaced what they had to -- in about an hour.

Ed left his son here to do most of the work, he did so much damage that the building inspector required us to add two more joists and replace three wall studs. That sadly that was not the end of the problems, he put a cut in a drain pipe with a saw that went unseen (Ed did come back and repair this mistake). The reason I'm writing this review now is because I was just in the cellar and saw a drain hanger was broke, then I realized it was the only hanger for a twenty foot piece of 4" drain line. Ed was nice and seemingly competent his son was not. They cut ever corner possible and insisted all the problems that the building inspector pointed out were " him just being a pain in the a**". My advice is stay away from Big Eds plumbing!

My husband tried to fix the toilet, He was having a hard time finding the correct fittings, we gave up and called  the plummer. My husband showed him the bathroom told him the issue's and  20 minute's later  all was repaired.

After checking with the BBB I went with this local company. Was given an estimate over the phone for the work mentioned. Very helpful and personable woman answered all my questions. Estimate seemed very reasonable to me for the work. Called on a Friday afternoon and was scheduled for a Tuesday (wasn't an emergency for me). I was given a time frame of 1:00pm-2:00pm and sure enough at 1:15 they arrived today. The owner Ed and his helper Jacob were professional, friendly, and quick. In one hour and 45 minutes all the work was completed. Did a very nice job sweating the pipes and installing the water heater I bought from them. No flexible tubing was used which I like. They did a great job of keeping everything clean and neat. Big Ed's does not accept credit cards. Cash or check only. For me this was not a big deal and I understand that helps keep their costs down. May affect the decision of others though. After this experience I highly recommend Big Ed's Plumbing!

Everythng went smooth. Did all rough plumbing for a complete kitchen and 1/2 bath gut and remodel. Had a few other things replaced/repaired in upstairs bath since cieling was exposed. Company was prompt and showed up when they were supposed to. Company quickly returned and fixed a small problem with gas line relocation.
