Even though this company had a C rating I decided to give them a chance so i contacted them via email and they responded right away, then called me within the hour and confirmed with another email within an hour that they would call me the next morning between 9-10 a.m. at the number I gave them, never called, end of story.  They confirmed my telephone number and simply did not call.  I fired them before I could hire them.

I got them from the phone book. They are okay. I did not like them. The reason we got them is because they are less expensive than some other companies we could use. They did some damage a couple of times, although they took care of that. I do not know whether I would use them again in the future or not.

They quoted me an estimate of about $850 on phone and they ended up charging me $3700. Of course I tried to protest it. It was outrageous; what they did is, they took two trucks instead of just one and four guys instead of just two. I had agreed to that initially thinking that it would save time and the work would be done quicker. These guys ended up being very poor workers. They were using profanity and being un- cooperative in terms of where I wanted the things to be moved. They were talking back to me. I called them and told them that they were outrageous. They damaged my home horribly when they brought things up and down the stairs. They gauged the walls in several places and cracked the plaster. They gauged into my wood floor several places, which they dropped and scrapped the floor. I complained about it to the service manager and the work has not yet been completed. Two and half months later they haven’t completed the painting. They did have people come in and do the repairs but the painting, has still not been done. They are still dragging their feet and have to send somebody to take care of it. I have to call them every week to find out when they are going to schedule it. It is outrageous. The guys were very poor and disrespectful. They haven’t repaired the damages in two and a half months. I have not been able to put pictures up on the walls. They have not painted the walls where they had damaged them. That has been a nightmare. They were very inefficient. They got lost a couple of times when they were driving. They didn’t take that off my bill. They just did that saying that they didn’t have the right address. One truck had the right address and the other didn’t; it was a communication problem between them as they didn’t give right address to the other truck person. They had several delays. They were not up holding their responsibilities but charging me for that. I would never use them in the future.

The guys showed up on time, were polite, and did a good job getting the items loaded and to our house garage, plus a couple of items into the house. We were charged $89 an hour with a two hour minimum along with a $25 fuel surcharge. The fees were quoted on the phone. They also charged us an extra $25 because we had a sleeper sofa in the mix. We were not told about this in advance. As with any franchise operation, there always seems to be some way of jacking up the price. The whole process took about an hour since there was'nt much to move and they only had to move things about a mile. I thought the final tally was a bit excessive for the amount of work done, but hey, that's just an opinion. The kicker was when they backed the truck into the driveway and it blew a power steering hose and left a lot of power steering fluid for me to clean up. I called the company and they said thew would send someone out to power wash the driveway on Monday. We'll see. Would I use this company again? Perhaps, but not after calling around and comparing prices.

I used this company twice; the first time was to move heavy things from my apartment to my new home. That move went well until I discovered many months later, a very expensive and unusual jacket was missing. Unfortunately, you only have 24 or 48 hours (I forget) to report damaged or missing items. The second move was a nightmare. They were hired to pack and move my dad's furniture and contents of his home. They arrived 2 hours late (supposed to start at 8:00 a.m. arrived at 10:00 a.m.), worked rather diligently but then at 5:00 told me they would have to come back the next day to finish. I took a day off work for the move and was told they could do it in one day. I told them they had to finish so they called another truck to come and help finish the move so I was paying for 4 men and 2 trucks. The move was completed that day but at a costly premium. Later my sisters were unpacking my dad's things and discovered $300.00 in coins were missing from his dresser that I knew nothing about. Again it was way past the report deadline so that was a loss. They also strongly suggest "tipping" for good service before they even start working which I think is a poor business practice. Never again.

They told me it snagged on a screw on the bed of the truck. They gave me a bill for 2 1/2 hours(from 8 to 10;30) which means it took an hour and 10 minutes from the shop to my apartment. In addition they added a $20 dollar fuel charge and $25 dollars because our sofa is in two pieces(total length is 75 inches - a standard sofa). They have said they would repair mattress but repairman says it would be visible and I would like it replaced. They told me to bring a receipt but when I took it to them they said they only repaired. This mattress cost $1500 dollars and has a 15 year warranty. There were no stains or marks on it until they tore it.
