"I got sick the day I was supposed to do work.I called the next day and apologized but she didn’t want to hear it. It’s not easy sometimes."
been leaking into the basement. Prior attempts to fix the problem have not stopped the water from entering, and Olivieri was
called on 8/4 to give us an opinion on solving the problem and an estimate for doing the repair. Rocco Olivieri met with us the same day he was called, and began the repair work one day after we authorized it. He and his crew worked through several difficult problems caused by the overbuilt construction of our house. It was constructed in 1965 and previous owners had added thick concrete reinforced with steel rebar next to the foundation. This took significant time and effort to remove. Olivieri and crew completed the work we initially agreed upon, but it would not have solved the underlying drainage problem. Significant additional work - nearly double the original distance - was done excavating the foundation until good drainage tile could be connected to the new footer tile. Even though the job was larger and tougher than estimated, it was completed in 4 working days and beat two days of heavy rain that followed. As we agreed when the additional work was authorized, the cost for the repairs increased also. At
all times during the repair, Rocco and his crew were helpful, answered our questions, and asked our opinions on options.
So far, the basement is dry and cracks in the block walls have closed from the reduced pressure on the outside. We are very pleased with the work, and we are now ready to begin additional repair projects in the basement.
