Brad was a joy to work with.  He is extremely friendly, professional and tidy.  We have a busy house with three active kids, pets and a husband that works from home.  Brad communicated when there would be "loud" days so my husband could go into the office.  He was great with the kids, and always careful to not let out our pets.  Brad always set up his saw in the driveway (not the garage like our cabinet maker), thus leaving the sawdust mess outside!  He also used a hepa machine attached to his tools that cut down on the dust dramatically!  He left us a section of countertop, sink and stove and moved our fridge elsewhere in the house so that I could continue to cook, while he completed everything else that he could.  We were really only without the sink and stove about two weeks....he removed them on a Friday, the cabinets went in on Monday, the countertops were measured and installed within 2 weeks, and he had our sink and stove in the next day.  I received one other bid--it was slightly higher, but that company had excellent Angie's List reviews.  Ultimately, we picked Brad Darrell because he could start the work sooner.   I also had another contractor come out (friend's referral) and the job was too big for him, but he said "Whoever you pick, you are going to hate him because this is a massive job, you will be without your kitchen for months, and it will be stressful."  I laugh now at this, because I think of Brad like family!  I often would cook a meal for him, and we had many wonderful conversations!

Brad originally had a man, Steve, working for him.  However, after a couple weeks on the job, Steve had a debilitating injury which ended his construction career.   Brad completed the job on his own, even after blowing out his knee (which is requiring surgery in January.)

Brad began construction the week after the kids started school, and completed the job the day before Thanksgiving.  He did take a couple weeks off during the job--a few days when he blew out his knee, a couple days when his dog had surgery and a few days when his dad had a heart attack, and a day or two for sickness/home invasion.  In the middle of construction, our hot water tank sprang a leak and flooded our basement.  Brad stopped his work on the kitchen and saved the day, replacing the tank for the same price it would have cost us to buy one from Home Depot.  Brad is an absolute perfectionist!
