The installation seemed okay. However, this past April, the fascia tore away from the deck edging. I phoned the contractor and he agreed to come out and inspect the damage. After three follow-up texts, he finally sent his associiate who he said: "knows what he is doing."  The associate NAILED the damaged fascia back to the deck edge. As a result, the fascia is splintering at the site of the nails and has broken off at the now fragile edges. I texted the contractor about my disapproval and have not heard back - not one call, not one text. In addition, there are several areas on the deck surface that show tenting near the nails that were used to initially  install the composite last September. Just distal to the tenting, the composite boards are sinking downwards. The site of my deck breaks my heart! It was intended to be a home IMPROVEMENT project but it is turning into an eyesore. Next year my deck will look like trash! The contractor's complany describes itself as proud of its "professional" workers and their outstanding work. The contractor and his associate did not work like professionals. They do not stand by their work, and after damaging my expensive TREX composite, they offer no compensation.
