C & S Painting

We had a very bad experience with this painter and numerous things went wrong.  To start with
he told us that there would be two painters and only he showed up to do the work.  Then he would disappear during the day for two to three hours with some excuse while we had to wait for him to show up again.   He started the first day with opening my casement windows when it was pouring down rain and getting the windows all wet and he damaged the window screen and never fixed it.    He cleaned his paint buckets in my back yard getting white paint all over the grass by the pine trees when we had a wash basin in the basement.   He disarranged two or more bedrooms at a time only painting the walls, not doing the cutting in til last.  He got paint on the stained woodwork in many places and I had to constantly critique him and get him to clean it up.  He left unpainted areas on the wall and got paint on the ceiling.   In one bedroom I had about 20 post-its on the woodwork saying to fix the paint on the stained woodwork.   He did not always do it.   I had to ask him again.   He would go on to another bedroom before he finished a bedroom leaving us with no place to sleep.  He was messy and unprofessional in his attitude.   He tried to nickel and dime us to death, adding extras to the contract as he went along.   I noticed him painting one bathroom the wrong color so he had to start over again.   I don't like writing negative reviews but this painter is bad news.  In the past we have had excellent painters that didn't require constant supervision to do the right thing.
