I thought 1st Choice did a very thorough job of sealing my driveway, and the price was reasonable. I was able to get an appointment within a few days of contacting the company. They called me the day before to give me a time range as to when he would be at my house. He showed up right on time. He examined my driveway, explained what he would be doing and answered a few questions for me. I watched intermittently as he did the work. I saw him use a motorized blower/brush-like tool to clean loose debris from the driveway edges. He applied a special light gray sealant on the cracks. Lastly, he applied black sealant over the top of the entire driveway. He explained how long to wait before walking or driving on the driveway and put up the yellow 'don't drive on this driveway' caution tape. I was very satisfied with their work and would recommend them to others.

Had the driveway sealed. Looks great! Edged perfectly, still looks great 1 year later. Project was also caution taped off to avoid potential hazards. Will be asking to reseal when the time comes.

First Choice only does small crack filling and sealing; however, they located another company that came over and cutout 20 large cracks and filled them with hot asphalt. Then First Choice came back and sealed the driveway. Both companies did a great job and special thanks for the extra effort from First Choice for acting as a general contractor and finding the hot asphalt company.

B- overall; on initial visit sealer was applied without filling all the cracks as promised in quotation. Return visit made and filled the cracks; however, it left a 'different' finished look. Employees expressed wish to satisfy us; I was not here to ask for a sealer recoat of crack filled areas.

Some cracks and gaps not covered completely. Can still see dirt in some cracks. I will need to fill and seal driveway again myself.

I booked through Angie’s List and waited 10 days to hear from them. I finally called them on a Friday and they said I was booked for the next Monday. I had never been notified by anyone. Good thing I called. The final job was ok but they did manage to spray a lot of the nearby grass with sealant, plus some got on my garage floor. I noticed that after they left. I had to quickly clean it up before it dried. Overall I wasn’t too impressed with their whole operation.

Overall 'Okay' I was expecting they will fill in all small holes but nothing was filled in.

"Our Big Deal was as follows and this is taken right off of Angie's List. No where in the offer does it state that holes of any kind holes would be filled. However we do fill cracks with crack fill. That is the offer purchased. If the customer wanted more done we may have been able to assist them if we were informed at scheduling. Here's The Deal: $34.65 reserves the low price of $99 for driveway asphalt sealcoating. Original value of $200, saving members 50.50% The remaining balance of $64.35 will be paid directly to the service provider at time of service Valid for up to 750 square feet; extra square footage can be sealed for an additional $0.18 per square foot Includes labor and materials Edging grass along the side of driveway prior to sealing (as needed) Removing any dirt and debris from driveway prior to sealing Filling minor cracks up to 1/4 inch, if needed, prior to sealing Barricading driveway with flag tape"

Great. Only issue was due to this being a rental property. Scheduling is important since we need to notify the tenants. They called on the day of the sealing when I had asked them to give me a few days heads up. We resolved it! Thanks!

The company served us well. However, Angie's List was misleading. The cost for the job was listed $34+. We were taken by surprise after we paid the $34 to Angie's List and were told that was a reservation fee and that we still owed an additional$64+. The advertising was very misleading.

Had used them 3 years ago and decided to use them again. Contacted via Angie Mail and they responded within reason. Arrived on job within scheduled timeframe and work was excellent. Workers were courteous and professional. Obviously no complaints here and will use them again when blacktop needs sealed again.

They applied a single coat of driveway sealer. Our driveway is a simple rectangular shape and has no serious cracking. We reseal each year so this did the job. They showed up promptly, called us in advance, and performed the work efficiently and neatly. Satisfied with the work and results.
