Walter Borkowski did a great job on the refinance so later, I gave him more work to arrange financing for a 4-unit apartment building that required substantial repairs. He lied to me, to my Realtor and to the selling Realtor. He said, on numerous occasions, that we could close early as soon as the seller was ready. When it came time to close he stopped returning phone calls and I had to go to the owner of the mortgage company for answers. The owner said that the paperwork had not been processed and that there was no way to close in less than a month. This cost me: $2500 in earnest money, $650 appraisal, $1500 inspection and $650 in permits. The owner's answer was to ignore my request for reimbursement and try and set me up into some fly-by-night business venture he was selling--not acceptable.
