Called Jim at 9:00 AM. He showed up at noon the same day. He looked at where water was leaking into my second and first floors due to the ice dam on the back side of my roof. He shoveled off the snow 6 feet up the roof and removed enough ice to stop the water infiltration into my walls.

We lost some roof shingles in the middle of our roof during a bad windstorm. I thought it could wait until the weather improved, towards the end of the week I was very wrong - on Tuesday morning water started running into our attic and I was rushing around trying to minimize the damage. I had set up an appt. with Jim for Thursday, but realized it would need fixed sooner before it damaged more than the attic. I called Jim at 6:45 in the morning (he was sleeping - as most sane people are at that time of day). He came out quickly and had the shingles replaced by lunchtime. I was very impressed by his quick response and by him being able to get up on a very steep wet roof. I added an extra $50 to the check to show our appreciation of a job well done. I was also impressed by his response as a new customer with an unknown track record.

Checked Angie's List and called Jilek who had an "A" rating; they came as scheduled; reviewed the problem areas, provided an estimate, performed work on scheduled day and time and cleaned up debris. Workers were efficient, knowledgeable, and considerate. It has now been a month since the repairs and there seems to be no further problems with leaks. They suggested the entire roof may need to be replaced and gave reasons why. I asked them to do a work up and estimate to perform that work and send it to us.

I was extremely pleased with Jilek's responsiveness.

Did an excellent job. Did it in one day. Very professional and knew what he and his crew were doing.

Jim Jilek is the best!! We had estimates from five different roofing contractors, all from Angie's List. We got widely differing estimates, the highest being nearly twice what Jim's was. We went with Jim, whose estimate was low but not the lowest, not only because of price but also because he was the only one of the contractors who noticed the shoddy quality of the replacement roof the previous owner had put on the porch and that our inspector had pointed out when we bought the house a year ago. His professionalism was evident at every stage of the process. His crew did the job in 4 days; they cleaned up after themselves, taking special care to find any nails they had dropped. At the very end Jim himself even came back and spread a few bags of mulch on the strip of garden next to the house because, he said, the job had messed up the mulch that was there. Well, it hadn't; he was just being extra-careful and professional.

They were able to use shingles that were left from the original installation. They finished the job the same day it was started and no one needed to be home that day.

After selecting Jilek Roofing from a list of roofing contractors on Angie's List, I called to schedule an appointment. Jim Jilek answered and I explained that I had found three shingles in the yard and that there was a leak in the family room. Jim explained that he would have to purchase a bundle of shingles if he did not have any shingles on hand to match. He quoted $125 and that he would be out to do the repairs the next day (before noon). Jim came out and did the repairs (replaced the shingles). It took him approximately fifteen minutes to complete the repairs. He explained that there was a lot of give on the roof: A possible underlayment problem. Jim charged $115 for the repair since he had shingles that matched. It rained heavily a half hour after he left. There was no leak in the family room. I would not hesitate to call Jim Jilek again if I have any further roof problems. He was prompt and very professional.

Very thorough and detailed bid. Seemed like he would have been very easy to work with on a project. His estimate was $1,600 lower than another local company and was willing to match prices, if needed.

Work was done in a very professional manner and job site was cleaned up well. Quote was promptly given and Jim, the owner, kept me up to date on when the job could start. Very good experience. Jim was on site supervising the work.

They did a good job, it was done well and does not leak. We were pleased.

I left Jim a message on a Sunday afternoon. He called back that evening and came out to clear my roof the next day. The responsiveness was particularly appreciated in that I had called several other roofing companies who told me to call back when the ice was melted and they would come out and repair the damage. (They didn't appreciate that I was trying to prevent damage from occurring!) Given Jim's responsiveness, I will likely hire the company to re-shingle the area that had most of the ice build-up. My roof is very high with a steep incline, the fact that they were able and willing to do this job was most appreciated.

We moved into our house on Feb. 15th. On Feb. 16th, we had water coming in the ceiling from an ice dam. Jim answered the phone on the first ring, and was at our house at work in less than three hours. The soonest any other company on Angie's List could make it was next week. Jim was courteous, polite, and explained exactly what could and could not be done He will be estimating repair work once the ice thaws and he can get bup on the roof more easily.

This company was professional, and met with me almost immediately. Then, they took more than a week following the appointment to provide the estimate(the other companies I spoke to, provided their estimates on the spot.) The estimate was significantly higher than the others I received.

They did a great job at a MUCH lower cost then any of my other bids. They used the exact same materials as the higher cost bids. The roof looks great!

I found Jilek through another contractor. He did a fantastic job. He came to check the work after his crew was done, and everything was fine. They were very efficient and stuck to the estimated time frame and was done within 2 days. They cleaned up well, and came out quick when I initially called.

Another contractor gave me an estimate of $1000, and the Jilek man came in and looked at it and agreed with the first contractor about what the problem was. However, he said we could just shift shingles over to fix the leak. He saved me a lot of money by not going with the first guy. We've had heavy rains since then, and I haven't had any problems. He was just very responsive and cordial once he got here.

He actually fixed the wrong skylight, but he was very prompt & did good work on the rest of the project.

WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK. REASONABLY PRICED. JIM WAS VERY NICE AND PROFESSIONAL.

JIM AND HIS PARTNER PERFORMED THE WORK AS PROMISED AND DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO USE THEM AGAIN IN THE FUTURE.

GREAT EXPERIENCE. I NEVER EVEN MET THE GUY, HE CAME TO MY HOUSE WHEN I WAS AT WORK, FAXED ESTIMATE, I AGREED, WE AGREED ON DAY, IT WAS DONE AND CLEAN UP WAS THOROUGH (I ONLY FOUND ONE NAIL). I STILL HAVEN'T MET JIM BUT HE SOUNDS REAL NICE ON THE PHONE AND MY ROOF IS FIXED. WILL DEF. USE AGAIN ON OTHER FLAT PART NEXT YEAR.

JIM'S CREW STARTED THE JOB THE DAY HE SAID THEY WOULD. THE JOB WAS COMPLETED IN TWO DAYS. JIM AND HIS CREW WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. THE MEN DID A VERY EXCELLENT JOB OF CLEANING UP AFTER COMPLETION OF THE JOB. THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD AND WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND JELEK ROOFING. JIM AND HIS CREW WERE VERY POLITE AND ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS. JIM EVEN CAME OUT ON A SUNDAY TO ATTACH THE GUTTERS MORE SECURELY.

JIM WAS GREAT. I CALLED 6 COMPANIES TO DO A REPAIR, ALL WERE TOO BOOKED OR WOULD NOT DO REPAIR WORK. JIM WAS GREAT AND TIMELY.
