UNION SAVINGS BANK

On the day before closing i was sent an email that my loan was denied.  In my opinion and others there was no legitimate reason for denial of my loan.  My debt ratio is low, my income sufficient, and my credit score is in the upper 700s.  I was purchasing a house way under market value and was putting 25% down.  I was denied because being a Defense Contractor employee I was required to switch to a new employer during the loan process.  I was still in the same job that I had been in for over a year.  I provided paperwork for employment verification purposes.  I had been in the same field for several years.  Switching employers is typical of this industry.  This denial almost cost me the home I was trying to purchase.  Thankfully the bank selling the property gave me more time.  Within 20 days I easily obtained a new loan with a new lender with no problems.  I feel that I was wrongfully lead to believe that with Union Savings Bank I would secure a loan.  Instead I was out $400.  Not only that the appraisal that was done with Union Savings Bank could not be used with my new lender and I had to repay for another one.  I also felt it very unprofessional that the loan officer sent me a email late in the day the day before closing.  She did not give me the courtesy of a phone call but hung me out to dry.  My advise to anyone looking for a mortgage not to use Union Savings Bank as you might end up with a denial and loosing your home.
