"In response to this complaint I went out and measured the roof and a few days later the homeowner called and asked to have the windows capped. I gave him an estimate over the phone for figuring a normal window cap. As I went out there to sign the agreement as [Member Name Removed] stated this was not a normal window cap job because of his mansard roof and how the windows were functioning as somewhat of a dormer. The "dormer" was all metal work which I did not realize at the time when I talked to him over the phone. Before we signed the agreement I told him that the price over the phone was not meant for the job that needed to be completed. So we both came up with a resolution and agreed to terms and both signed the agreement. As far as the windows being flashed we indeed completed that which was part of the roof installation because of his mansard style roof. So the job is complete and I go back out to do a complete walk around of the job which I do on every job and everything looked done according to the agreement that was discussed. [Member Name Removed] then paid the job in full which entails that he also agreed that the job was completed as agreed upon. Now if he didn't think the job was complete I am sure at the time before he paid in full he would of expressed his concerns. Instead he was happy as the job was completed as agreed upon and he then paid the final balance. I also want to state that I did tell him how much the entire job would cost if indeed he did want us to fully wrap the entire dormer in metal and he decided to go the less expensive route. Now, 2 years later [Member Name Removed] is expressing his concern that the job was not done the way we agreed upon. When I did go out there the past month or 2 I mentioned to him where the leak was coming from and he agreed. Now, if he would of spent the money it would of taken to get the job done the way I suggested 2 years ago and ran brand new metal on the entire dormer he would not of been in this situation. It looks like that he gave us great ratings but then gave us and overall grade of a D. I understand his frustration and understand that he was looking for advice which in fact I did give him but he decided not to go that route. As a company we strive for customer satisfaction and try to educate the customer as best as possible. Being in the industry for over 20 years and being in business a little over 10 years we take great pride in the fact that we do take care of our customers. I understand being in business for as long as we have we will not make everybody happy and the fact that we have had 1 or 2 complaints throughout our tenure speaks volumes of the type of quality of work that we enjoy and provide for our customers!!!"
"I deal with hundreds of customers per year and my reputation speaks for itself as I have very few complaints. I had an issue with my installer having some personal issues and needed some time off. I guess he thinks that his job was more important than trying to fix family issues. In the end the new shower that he got looks great and he asked me to contact him at a later date to do more work. I decided not to continue a working relationship with him. There are some people that I can't make happy no matter what I do. I try my best to start and complete a job in a timely manner but sometimes life happens."
"[member name removed], you guys were a pleasure to work with. Thanks for putting your trust in my company to fulfill your roofing needs. Please, don't hesitate if you need anything from us that we could help you guys out with. Hope all is well and enjoy your new roof!!!"
He showed up promptly the next day, which was Friday, with a firm, satisfactory estimate. He gave two possible project dates, being the following Monday or Tuesday. Because the next significant winter storm's forecast was for that following Monday around 4pm, I was surprised and impressed the crew showed up around 1:00 PM and were done in less than an hour before any new snowfall.
I and my wife took a look outside and were quite satisfied. Since Todd required no deposit, I mailed the entire payment via post mail after a phone call assuring that I and my wife were really pleased with the quick service, especially before the next significant snow storm.
"Thanks [member name removed], It was our pleasure to help you guys out. Please call us anytime you need help with a project and we would be happy to see what we can do. Hope all is well!!!"
"Thank you [Member Name Removed] for your trust in our company. It was our pleasure to help you out with your project and let us know if we can do anything else down the road. Hope all is well!!!"
"Thank you [removed member name] for trusting in our company for not only 1 project but 2. It was a pleasure doing business with you guys!!!"
