I left a message asking for an estimate. It took approximately 2 1/2 weeks for a return call. Another few days later, I received an estimate in my mailbox. The estimate was for $350. (waited a total of over 3 weeks for an estimate)
I called Russ McKie, the owner, and scheduled a time and date for the powerwash. Russ was evasive and reluctant to schedule an exact time, preferring to give me a few target dates on which he would call me prior to him showing up. I finally narrowed him down to an exact time and date. On the date scheduled, no one showed up. I called Russ 40 minutes after the agreed upon time/date, and he said he forgot but would be over in a half hour.
An hour and 1/2 later, Russ showed up. He commented that he was glad I called as he was heading to his boat for the day.
He looked at my project, and said that it would cost $500. When I asked him about the estimate of $350, he was evasive and stated that he really didn't think he saw my project very well when he gave me the estimate.
He said that he usually charges $100 an hour and my project was big and that he would be onsite for most of the day.
He proceeded to powerwash (and maim several plantings and potted flowers) for 3 hours and still charged me $500. The overall results of the wash was fair-good.
I would never use his services again and would discourage others from using the company because of his lack of professionalism, timeliness, dependability and quality.
