Toledo Door & Window

If there was a zero star I would leave it! The company took my money and my time with three different appointments and gave me nothing but a headache. After purchasing three large windows and the company taking my security deposit I received a call weeks later only to be told the company is not equipped to install the windows and does not have the equipment. I thought the name of the company was Toledo Door & WINDOW? Better change your name to Toledo Door and Maybe Windows. I would of thought a company that says they install windows would know on the first or second appointment if there company was established enough to take a job to install three windows but I guess not. Now after weeks of wasted time I'll wait for them to have to return my security deposit and have to start from scratch going into the winter months. NOT A GOOD LOOK TOLEDO DOOR AND WINDOWS

Toledo Door and Window was awesome before the sale through installation. I purchased 3 Sunrise windows, a Provia patio door and Provia front door. All 3 windows leak at the top to the point that I can feel wind blowing through them on cold, windy days. These windows perform worse than the builder's grade windows they replaced. While I love the patio door, a part fell off (roller??). For 6 weeks, I have been trying to submit a warranty claim and am continually told someone will contact me but they never do. I will be taking my business elsewhere for the remaining windows.

six of the windows were standard end sliders but window number seven was a trapezoid on the second floor. the measurements were taken with care and when the windows were installed eight weeks later, they all fit very well, including the oddball! The aluminum trim fashioned on site matched the Simonton windows we had replaced on the front of the house a year before. The crews were courteous, fast, and neat. Both the garage door and the windows are excellent - low noise, good looks, smooth operation on all. We highly recommend this vendor and their products.

When they were scheduled to come for exact measurements they were extremely late and had to be rescheduled. It took nearly two months for the products to come in and they still were not all in so we had to schedule another day when the rest came. They installed the wrong door. A cheaper door. One on the screens were bent and we are still waiting for the replacement. When we told the installer that was the wrong door we ordered it took another three days for Toledo Door and Window to call us back. We told them we would just keep the wrong door since it was already installed. They threaten to void our warranty because the side our house faced the sun and said that the door may get too hot and the glass could break. The door we ordered had a small vent in the bottom but we had talked to the installer and he said that water could get in the vent and into our house. That's another reason we said we were just going to keep the other door. We spoke to the general manager named Mike who argued with us and was not going to let us keep the door they had already installed. We threatened to stop our business with them and three days later Mike called and said he spoke to the vendor and got special permission to honor the warranty from the heat in which our house faced the sun. We are so disappointed with them we will never do business with them and we will share our bad experience.

They were easy going throughout the entire process, and gave us many options for door styles, colors and configurations. The installer showed up when promised and was very thorough in removing the old door and frame, preparing the opening, and installing the new door system. Everything looks great, functions as it should and we are happy.

Because all the doors are custom made, it took a long time for the door to come in.  I didn't have a lot of choices because I was replacing an oversize door that was destroyed in a break-in.  Consequently I was without a front door (go out the back and go around front to get mail and newspaper) for over 6 weeks in the middle of a very cold, snowy winter. They said they would put a rush on it but I it took as long as originally stated. Once the door arrived they were very prompt at calling and setting up installation. The door itself is high quality but I was led to believe that there would be a little better finishing work around the frame by the carpenter. If you can plan ahead and aren't in a hurry or you don't require damage repair around the door, I would say this is the business you want.

Door looks great, everything went very well.

The window had some factory defects which were fixed.  Other than that there no issues.

.The style of door we needed was a special order which took about three weeks to come in.  The sales person was friendly and professional and explained all our options including the time it would take for the door to arrive.
The installer came at the scheduled time and completed the installation in less than four hours.  He tested everything and explained the new opener system.  He hauled away the old door and cleaned up everything.
We were very pleased with the sales call, the product and the installation.  It has been a year since the work was done and we have had no problems and no complaints about the job.  We would definitely use Toledo Door and Window again.

On time.  Thoroughly inspected door and opener.   At my request, re-programmed my door opener with a new code.  Gave me advice on the importance of keeping the sensor area clean. 

Matt came out on the first day and installed the entry door and rebuilt the entire doorway and threshold. He did an excellent job, and told me that he wasn't sure when someone would be out to finish the job, but someone would call me the following day. The next day I received a call from them telling me that Joe would be out shortly to work on the doors. He was there by 830 and worked in 95 degree heat until the job was finished and looked beautiful, he even adjusted my existing entry doors. We are very pleased with the service and the quality of the doors.

The salesman I worked with (Art Swearingen) was prompt, courteous, and professional. When I requested an in-home estimate, he arrived on time and answered all my questions. He was helpful but not at all intrusive or pushy.
We ordered 15 double hung, triple pane Provia replacement windows. They arrived from the factory within a few weeks from the date of order. Installers were very competent, pleasant, and left no mess. Our old windows were poor-quality builder-grade wood. These seem much more sturdy, secure, and energy-efficient.
That said, I've had to call Toledo Door and Window twice to ask for their assistance with the windows. The first time was shortly after installation. While I was cleaning them, I (apparently) tilted the pane in incorrrectly, which caused the window to come off the track. When I couldn't figure out how to push it back in place, I called TD and Window to ask for help. I expected "over the phone" guidance, but instead -- I received a visit from a service technician within the hour. He fixed the window and showed me the proper cleaning procedure.
More recently (2 weeks ago), I opened a window to let in some cool morning air, but when I went to lower it, I wasn't able to move it up or down. It was stuck. Again, I called and they came to my rescue. This time there was a screw sticking out that was causing the window to catch on it. Service tech fixed the problem in about 30 seconds. Thank you!
To be perfectly honest, the verdict on the windows is still out. We haven't been through a winter with them yet, so we are waiting to make any official pronouncements. After the "getting off the track" incident I encountered while first cleaning them, I am a bit reluctant to try again. I've actually been going outside to wash them (rather than risk tilting them in).....as I do not want to have to to place another 911 call asking for a service tech home visit. So.....let's just say they do not seem to be quite as "easy-care" as I had hoped. Admittedly though, I suppose the problem could be with me. Perhaps I am simply replacement window-challenged. :-)
HOWEVER -- I can say with confidence that the customer service Toledo Door and Window has provided is absolutely STELLAR. I hope I don't have to call and bother them with any more stuck window emergencies, but it's nice to know that if I do -- they will rescue me. Hats off to the entire staff at Toledo Door and Window for your professionalism, courtesy, and excellence!

Just as I offered above. I would not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone. It surprised me the way the owner acted due to the fact they have been in the Toledo area for some time.

The product is solid and the installation was very professional.

We are very happy with the work that was done. The new windows look great and they are a huge improvement over our old windows at preventing drafts and keeping the cold air out.

We could not be happier with the quality of both the doors and windows, AND the quality and profesionalism of Chris (our salesman) and the installation teams.

The job was absolutely done perfect
