Andre had called me from Angie s list I had discussed with him there was moldy drywall on a portion of the column next to the bathtub that needed to be replaced he had told me it would cost 120 for him to rip it out and redo it or 70 if I ripped it out myself since I could rip most of it out myself he told me it would cost 70 dollars in that same phone call he said he had quick drying mud that would dry in 5-10 minutes. However, when he came to start on the job he put such a thick coat of it on there that he said it would take 24 hours to dry I made comments on the width of the portion of the column he did which was about 33 inches from the ground up after it dried that it was slightly wider than the above wall by .25 inches before him mudding it again and painting it and he refused to replace the drywall it saying it s not done yet. Then after he mudded it the second time he put a high-powered dryer to it and sanded it down painted it and textured it he put glue on the plastic trim that I had purchased and attempted to put in on the drywall and it had ripped off paint and mud and he got angry with me about it and made it seem like it was my fault and said this hasn t happened for any other customers. He said the next time he came back he would bring the proper items to fix it he came back last night didn t even have the mud with him and the drywall was warped due to the mud and paint coming off rather than just rescheduling the appointment he puts the wooden trim on the warped drywall that he should have fixed before putting the trim on. In attempting to put the trim on he has to score the trim to get it to bend I had texted him multiple times after he left about ripping out the trim because I didn t like how it looked and to replace the trim but he gave me a bunch of excuses not to replace the trim even though I was willing to pay him an additional 30 dollars since he complained about only making 40 dollars on the job since he had to pay Angie s list 30 dollars for the first initial phone call.
