Our normal provider would pull the cover and inspect it, lay it out in the driveway to dry, add water if necessary, clean around the coping, brush the sidewalls, clean the leaves out of the bottom as necessary, start up the pump, add chemicals, fold & stow the safety cover, and set the solar cover in place. Basically get the pool to a point where it would be usable when it reached temperature.
As you can see it is far more thorough than what we got from this provider (I have listed everything that was done in the section above.
My wife believes she informed them that we would need water when she made this appointment. All I got was being told put the hose in it and it should be ready for me to turn on the pump around 5:00 PM. I asked them if they were going to return and complete the job I was told to just turn on the pump and add the two gallons of shock myself. Wondering if the crew was just trying to get through the schedule for the day, since it was Friday, I called the office and was told that since the pool needed water that they considered the service complete. So for my money I got the service of 2 people for 20 minutes and some pool shock.
It is safe to say I will not make the same mistake again.
