I haven't received the finished product yet.  Will probably be finished the first part of October.  The seamstress was very nice.  Has never done this kind of work before.  I had to go buy the fake fur to put on the parka.  She seems confident she can do the job.  I hope so for $55!!  I thought that was a little steep to sew on about 25 inches of fake fur with a sewing machine.

I took 3 suits to be altered and they they did an outstanding job. The quality was impressive and they worked around my schedule. I plan on having all of my suits altered there.

Made an appointment for fitting my daughter's wedding dress.  Left the dress and it was ready when she said it would be ready.

I bought myself a fancy Irish, hand-made red wool cape, something I'd always wanted.  When it arrived from Ireland, I was a bit disappointed to find that it was unlined.  The wool/cashmere fabric stuck to my clothing and, when I drove while wearing it, it would bind and wrinkle.  My stepmother suggested that I have the cape lined.  I wondered who might do such extensive and difficult work?  My stepmom suggested her furrier in Detroit.  I live in Toledo.  I wasn't too sure about driving 90 minutes to and from that business in Birmingham in order to pick it up and drop it off.  I took the cape to a couple places here in Toledo, and neither place was AT ALL interested in doing the work.  One said it would be too difficult and she would have to take the cape all apart, and the other business in South Toledo, a suitmaker-kind of tailor, shook his head at me and went back to his sewing. 
So, I came here to Angie's List and searched--Perfect Fit Alterations came up first with the highest grade.  I took the cape there.  The women who were working that day were so nice and were confident that their work would be satisfactory.  They suggested I find the lining material (which was easy) and bring the cape and the material back.  When I did, I was promised the cape would be done by the end of the following week, about ten days from when I dropped it off.  It was finished in four days!  Since I paid about $350 for the cape, I found it reasonable that a hand-crafted lining with button holes would cost $150, not including the $28 I paid for the lining material at JoAnn's Fabrics nearby.
What beautiful work she did on the cape.  The cape sits better on me, doesn't wrinkle as much with sitting, and it moves in a lovely manner.  It's PERFECT now. 
I have since returned for some hemming on slacks.  I will return in the future.  I have found a tailor!!

They were very professional and nice. Everything was done in a timely manner with no problems.

Fitting was on Monday. Alterations were completed during the next week. Refitting was on Tuesday. No additional alterations were required. Very good work.

She was very nice and easy to work with from the start. We were able to figure out exactly what I wanted quickly also. After having nothing but problems looking for a seamstress, she was a breath of fresh air with her smile and genuine nice attitude. Work was done to perfection.
