Very unprofessional. I requested cost estimate when I dropped off the laptop. When I returned to pick it up, the actual cost was ~3 times the estimate. This was really no big deal because we were only talking about an estimate of ~$50, which turned into an actual cost of ~$150 - which (when talking about laptop repairs) is not a huge amount to begin with. And in looking at the numbers, it became apparent that they did not include labor in the written cost estimate, so I considered it to be a reasonable misunderstanding/mistake. So I wasn't really particularly concerned, but as I was paying I casually asked if they'd be interested in a little customer feedback. The cashier said Yes. I suggested that they should include labor in their cost estimates - just to ensure the customer has a good idea what actual costs will be. The cashier called who I assume was the manager to the desk. He argued that he had told me that labor was not included, got very defensive, bordering rudeness. I emphasized that I was not asking for anything - no rebates or refunds, etc... Just trying to help with a helpful suggestion. All I got for my well meaning effort was resistance & argument. Very poor "customer service" on their part. When I returned home to check out the laptop, I found that they had fixed the fan, but had not fixed the latch. So I checked out YouTube and found a few videos on how to fix it myself, which I did successfully. This was the poorest customer service and technical service I have ever received from an Apple sales/service organization.
