Got the dishwasher and it did not work, purchased the Lowe's in home warranty, paid $100.00 more. Sales person, Chris, told me that this meant that if "anything" went wrong with the dishwasher, it would be replaced. Well, got the dishwasher home and it didn't work. Called the store and they told me in order for them to replace the dishwasher per the warranty, I would have to pay to have it taken out. But the warranty in writing reads "We will replace your major appliance within 7 days of delivery/ purchase if the unit has a defect. Contact the Lowe s's Store listed on your receipt to arrange replacement of your defective appliance." Called Chris, the salesman, he told me to call Kitchen Aid, and Kitchen Aid said that it sounded like an install issue. Lowe's would not install the dishwasher or even recommend a contractor to do the install, I begged them because I did not know about Angie's List at that time. No help or reference from them what so ever. Well, they kept going back and forth and finally a Kitchen Aid repairman showed up said it was a defective water pump. According to Lowe's Warranty the dishwasher was supposed to be replaced, but they wanted to charge me an additional charge to what I found out later to remove two screws from the top of the dishwasher. Today is the 23rd of October, the repairman just repaired the dishwasher. I am angry, they had my money for a dishwasher that I could not use for a whole month. I had made plans to purchase a dual burner stove, tractor, snow blower and a refrigerator from them, but to be treated like this, no way, and shame on you Kitchen Aid, everybody kept passing the buck, nobody wanted to take responsibility and do the right thing, and the right thing would have been to do like the warranty read and give me a new Dishwasher but they didn't, they dropped the ball, and lost a great customer.
