kitchen, replaced with new appliances and installed cabinets and
appliances. He removed the flooring and prepared for a new floor. He
directed new window installs and made sure doors/sliders were
painted/stained to my satisfaction. He is comfortable with more than
just painting. The best thing I like about Jeff is that if he says he
will be there at 2PM, he will be there at 2PM! You cannot find a better
contractor for the price. Highly recommend.
All went well. The paper removal took longer than we estimated. One color took several coats but he did not charge extra for that. Most of the work was done while we were on spring break and we came back to a beautiful house. They moved the furniture so little prep was needed by us.
Would definitely use Jeff again.
Was recommended by our interior designer.
As the job progress (and rain delayed the job) prep work and window sanding was just another one of our obviously annoying nagging requests (which didn't get done).
Jeff is a good painter and would probably work best with a job that requires little wood repair or prep work. He is a quick worker and does not like to be delayed with special requests and questions about the work. He has an excellent assistant that really does a great job. However, beware, they are not carpenters. Save any wood repair for somebody else. Several items that he repaired had to be removed and re installed. He cant measure and cut and fills big gaps in joints with caulk. The huge frustration was the eight new wooden shutters that I bought for this project. First I wanted them painted on both sides. He argued with my wife that they didn't need to be painted on both sides. Second, I spent time to mark the holes in the shutters so that he did not have to drill new holes in the brick walls. I marked the shutters so that he could hang them on the right windows and he sitll installed five out of eight upside down. He then had to spend a two to three hours re hanging them (after he argued with my wife that they were hung right).
Every time we had a question about the job or were unhappy with some of the work he blamed us or our house for causing the problem. By the end of the job we just wanted him out of our faces and off our property. This guy has an excuse for everything.
