It was very easy and quick to get Tim out for the inspection. During the time of our inspection, the majority of inspectors were booking appointments one month out. Tim was able to get us in within a week. I was very impressed by this and was a part of the ultimate decision to use HomeSpec LLC.
The inspection took about 1.5 - 2 hours. In comparison to other inspection companies, this was a short inspection. That could be a good or bad thing. He seemed very knowledgeable about the basics of a home. He made great recommendations that we were able to negotiate into our deal and had no problem explaining things in detail as he did his inspection.
I can say there are only two things that I wish were better about the inspection - the attic was not thoroughly inspected. Same thing applies to the well. Since the home we are purchasing does not use "city water" it would have been nice to know more about the well. We were told to contact a well maintenance company. However, none of them really come out to inspect it and determine the depth and amount of water. Now that I think about it, do inspectors even know how/ have the capabilities of testing a well?
Even with those negative aspects to the inspection, I would recommend HomeSpec LLC. I would just make a list/mental note of the things you definitely want inspected (well, attic etc.) and make sure to ask him about them. He is very welcoming, willing to work and honest about his knowledge of specific home qualities. If he can't answer your question he will recommend someone who can!
