Set up an appointment. They never showed up and never called. I called them . They were supposed to come between 11:00 & 1:00. We waited till 2:00 and then called them to find out what the holdup was. the person I talked to told me he would contact the representative and get back to me. He called me back and said he couldn't get hold of that person & left a voice mail. He called me and hour later and said they were running late. No courtesy call or anything. He asked me if I wanted to re-schedule, I said no because in the meantime I contacted someone else who will be coming out this week. I believe the proper thing to have done would have been to at least call and let me know the situation. The company that is coming out, I found in my phone book. Very disappointed.

The installers were excellent.  The flooring itself is wonderful.  The salesman was HORRIBLE!  Because of the salesman Dave, we will never give Empire any future business. 
The installers were right on time the day of installation.  After they had been on scene for about 5 minutes, one came to us and asked if we were having the laminate installed on the landing off of our kitchen.  We told him that yes, the landing was part of the price.  The salesman had mis-measured so they hadn't brought enough material.  Okay, we were fine with that just as long as they were back out within a few days to finish.  This all happened on a Monday.  That same day we were told, by the salesman, that someone from Empire would be in touch with us that night to schedule an appointment for that.  No phone call ever came, so I called them and was told someone would be calling me back.  It never happened.  The exact same thing on both Tuesday and Wednesday.  All the while I'm calling the salesman Dave who keeps lying to me, telling me he's "with a customer" and that he would "call me right back."  He never once called me back.  
By Thursday I was beyond angry with Empire.  I called and spoke for over an hour to a customer service rep named Orlando who went above and beyond for me and I finally heard back from the installation manager.  The manager promised me that a crew would be out on Saturday to complete the job.  I called him Saturday about noon to inquire as to the installers ETA.  He called me back, apologizing profusely, because he had forgotten to schedule someone to do the job.  The installers ended up returning on Sunday to complete the job.  
Due to the ineptness of the installer and the constant inability to reach someone after the job was semi-completed, I will never shop again with Empire.  The floor is nice and we're happy with it, but I want a salesman that won't lie and will go out of his way to make sure that his customer is happy.  The I spoke to multiple customer service representatives at Empire, and not a single one of them could help me with anything until I had the luck of contacting Orlando.  
Empire needs to take a lesson from this....customer service AFTER the sale is just as important as the sale itself.  As I told Dave when he was at our house mis-measuring, if we were happy with Empire we will have them install flooring in the rest of our house. 3 bedrooms, dining area, foyer, stairs and landing.  At this point I would not hire empire to lay an area rug.

We had a sales rep come over to discuss options. It was the typical high pressure, sign up today or you'll lose this great deal. There was only a final price given. There was no detail behind the offer. When I was again pressured to sign I mentioned we had other options to consider. That's when it got ugly. The rep told us why would we want to go with someone else. Empire is the best. The issue was it was only her word, with noting to back it up. We never did receive a quote, just a verbal price. If we're going to spend $10K we want something in writing. I really like Empire and the quality products but this was one of the poorest sales experience I have ever received.

They could have done it the next day but I waited two days due to a prior commitment. They were able to do it right away. The person that came and quoted the job and showed me the samples was there on time. The person that did the installation was very punctual and very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and take their time doing it correctly. They didn't try to rush through it.

Sales person displays sample of laminate floors and carpet. She started pricing very high, when you object to paying such high prices she would call and quot;her bossand quot; and negotiate a lower rate. This goes on until you hopefully reach an agreement. Which is still to expensive. The quality is still pretty good but the sales person measures for more than you need. The best thing about the best experience was the Installers were exceptional. They pulled up the old carpet and padding and took all waste with them. They even moved my furniture. The Installers of laminate floors were in my home for more than seven hours. They did excellent work. They measured and cut precisely. They were respectful and courteous. The carpet Installers were also professional and prompt. I would hire both companies to install flooring , in a HEART BEAT!!!! I receive many compliments on the flooring.

I was not happy with the estimate I received from Empire Today. The woman who came to my home was not professional. She did not come prepared to measure the rooms and when I asked about the free room offer for flooring she mentioned that what I was ordering did not qualify for that offer. She was not listening to what we wanted and kept insisting on hardwood flooring. I would not recommend Empire Today.

Wow talk about taking advantage of people. We went to get an estimate to redo our WHOLE house and the lady was terrible. She didnt want to help she was impatient (my husband got stuck in a meeting and was 5 minutes late and when I asked her to wait she just wanted to get it over with. This was a BIG waste of time. When all was said and done she handed us a sheet of paper with a price on it and ignored EVERYTHING that we were telling her and she refused to sell us anything but top of the line. She wanted 10,000.00 to recarpet our house. NO THANKS I will take my business else. Also there sale that they are having we apparently DO NOT qualify for it. MONEY HUNGRY thats all that Im saying and she would have had a great sale had she been nice also she waited to tell us that we didnt qualify for the sale until we were almost done. What a big waste.

We had a wonderful experience. They came in. They moved all the furniture's. The installer went the extra mile to make sure he had the right floor. They did a very good job. They moved all the furniture back. They were very courteous and very nice. They were very easy to work with. Their price was in line with everybody else. They were wonderful. The team that installed the floor was great. They went extra mile. They made sure everything was done correctly. I would use them in the future.

After they installed it, I asked them to replace and put in a thicker padding. They did this with no hassles and no extra charge. They moved my furniture for me and were very professional. They did a good job and I would definitely use them again.

They came in and tore up the carpeting and when they did that, they pulled some of the wood flooring away. They brought some different carpets that I picked up, but I did not know that they had torn up part of the floor. I called them the next day and said that I had a big hill in front of the refrigerator and I found more of them. They had put some kind of plaster to cover up the holes they made and when I run my sweeper, I think that the white is coming through. I don’t want any more to do with them. I spent $1000 for an 8 by 20 kitchen for the work they did initially. I would not recommend them to even my worst enemy.
