The diagnostic fee is  way too high at $95.00, and it doesn't cover ANY work
that might need to be done.  Even clearing a plugged line that took 2
minutes!!   The repair man told us that he had to charge $ 85.00 FLAT RATE
to unplug the line because that was the company policy.  We agreed to it
ONLY because we had already invested $95.00 and we needed heat.  This company policy 
is horrible.  I called and spoke to the owner to see if she would make an
exception under the circumstances and waive the extra $85.00 (as good customer
relations) and she wouldn't budge.   I'm disgusted that we had to pay $180
for a 2 minute repair.  We have used  Bluflame prior to this service
call but we will not be calling them again.

"November 07, 2014: [Member name "C" removed] called requested service for a no heat. On the phone he was told that there would be a $95.00 diagnostic charge to come out and to determine what was wrong and that when the Technician determine what was wrong he would present the needed repair and costs for prior approval. Upon arrival our technician diagnosed the problem, presented the needed repair and the price to [member name "C" removed]. [Member name "C" removed] agreed and initialed the invoice to ok the price and authorize the repair. Our technician completed the repair, cycled and tested the unit then collected payment and left. Approximately a week later a [member name "J" removed] called, not [member name "C" removed], and spoke with Julie. She informed Julie that we should make an exception and not charge for our work. Julie asked [member name "J" removed] why and if there was a problem with our work. [Member name "J" removed] assured her there was no problem and that everything we did was fine. Then again [member name "J" removed] stated her case that we should not charge for the repair this time, because that would make her a happy customer. When Julie declined, [member name "J" removed] stated that if we did not return the repair costs, she would begin a campaign of complaints to consumer agencies and web sites. With no concerns or troubles with our work, [member name "J" removed] called only to request money, a “refund” for amounts that were exactly as presented to and ok’d by [member name "C" removed] before we came out and or for a repair price that was exactly as quoted to and ok’d by [member name "C" removed] on site before any repairs were made. [Member name "C" removed], called, scheduled, authorized and paid for the service. At any time he had the option to not have us come out or to decline any repairs if he desired, but he choose to have us come out and he choose to have us complete the repair, so we did. We do warrant our work, we have and will always stand behind our work and we will make every effort to correct any mistakes that we may make. However; we do not and will not issue refunds solely to avoid a threat of slander."

Jay, the serviceman, did a thorough job, explaining everything. He had the needed parts on the van and made recommendations for a future service schedule. I feel good about having this done and would recommend Bluflame to others, obviously. My job wasn't an emergency but they did have a technician here within an hour. Couldn't ask for a better experience.

Technician arrived about 30 min. after I called. Service went well. My issue was with the Angie's list discount I should have received. I specifically asked for my Angie's list discount and the technician said no discount was available for Angie's list customers.  Technicians should be informed of available discounts.  I'll take my discount now please.

The technician was very professional and explained everything he was doing.  He had the part that was needed in his van and fixed the furnace.  Total time was about 1 hour for troubleshooting and repair.
My only complaint is with the cost of the replacement part.  I have no problem with the $170 service fee for a Saturday but I was charged $185 for a pressure switch.  A quick look online and I found the same part number for approximately $50.  I paid because I wanted my furnace running again but it just seemed a bit of an excessive markup.

It went very well as i thought i had more serious problems with both furnaces. the technician Victor opened up both furnaces and found that most of the trouble was being caused by dirty operating conditions as the house furnace filter was plugged and not drawing very much air causing all of the strange noises that were coming from the furnace while it was trying to run. He did find a couple of old parts in the furnace that were old and out of specified operating ranges that i had him replace for me. the dirty conditions were my fault due to my neglect, mainly because out of sight out of mind, this wont happen again. The other overhead hanging garage furnace had the same problem as the house furnace dirty operating conditions, this unit doesn't use an air filter but dirt still worked its way into vital gas orifices. Victor the cleaned as needed also he cleaned the spark igniter, and flame senor as well. I appreciate his honesty, and good work habits, as he could of told me and try to sell me two new furnaces. As he advised me that the the large house furnace isn't made anymore and replacement part inventories are starting to run low, as this furnace is 17 going on 18 years old. and should start shopping for a new furnace in the near future, but Victor did say this furnace still does have some useful service life to it yet. But i should start saving some money towards a new furnace, as he said his companies price would be about 3100.00 to replace the furnace, but he also said to get the price from the sales department as all he does are furnace repairs, not sales.

They’re great, and provide awesome service. We already plan on buying a new HVAC system from them, because they have been the ones who helped me so much. Years ago they helped in an emergency when the heat went out, and they came out within a half hour when nobody else would come.

Here is my issue with the service. What the serviceman did,he did well. However, I wanted a lead to copper union replaced since it appeared to me that the gasket had split. I also asked about a relief valve that leaked. The serviceman ,by his own admission, wasn't sure how to do this. When I call someone to service my boiler, I expect all the needed work to be done. Do I know have to pay for another service call?

The last service record we show for your address is for a minor gas line repair performed for the prior owner in January of 1997. If this is incorrect or there is anything we can do for you, please give us a call."

From the initial meeting with there sales rep to having the furnace/water heater installed they displayed professionalism thigh out the process. I started using Blue Flame over 10 years ago. My furnace went out in the middle of the night and it was 10 degrees below zero. I called several companies and each said your not a regular client so we will try to come out tomorrow. I could not wait and called Blue Flame . They were at my house in an hour and from that day I swore I would never use any other HVAC company.They have done alot of work on our furnace//ac and we will buy our new furnace/ac from them. It was 104 degrees yesterday and by the time I got home from work the ac was out. I called Blue Flame at 08:30 the next morning,they were at my door at 09:30 and the air was running by 10am. I would highly recommend this company, I will never use anyone else!

I like them a lot. They are really good. They are very informative. We were at a point where we didn't know if we needed a new furnace or if we could fix the one we had. They actually showed us on paper that we could keep pouring money into the old furnace and it would cost as much as getting a new furnace. They come back out every year to make sure everything is working properly. They are very friendly and professional. We have been using them for 37 years. We keep calling them because we trust them. Their price is comparable with other companies.

I have used them in the past and had a service agreement with them. They were pretty much on time and did what they said they would do. Their prices were comparable to other companies in the area. The quality of their service was pretty good; I didn't have to call them back. They were responsive and punctual. I will use them again in the future.
