They removed the old furnace and installed the new one. That went all right. They were supposed to dispose of the old furnace and the packing boxes for the new. Their scrape man came for the furnace but did not take the huge boxes. Several days after reminding the installer about the boxes another contractor we were using for a garage took the boxes. Further, their clean up performance was less than stellar. They tracked attic insulation all over the house and never vacuumed anywhere except for the immediate work area. Further, we have another property that we rent and we asked about a new heating unit for it. They told me it did not need it but that they would, as part of the contract for the furnace we bought, send out a person to clean the rental property furnace. A date was set. They cancelled due to bad weather. We rescheduled. No show. No further action. Besides not vacuuming there were soot smudges on doors, deck railings and cabinets in the utility room . They saw no problem at all with coming in and out of the house without knocking or ringing the bell. Even after they all left for the day one guy came back because he forgot something and just walked right in. There were sometimes three guys here at once and they were loud and boisterous. We bought the house last year and have all kinds of workers here remodeling to make the house accessible to my wife's wheelchair. These guys from Absolute were the worst. We would not have them back again.

$4,345
Approximately two weeks after having a new furnace and hot water heater installed at the cost of $4,345.00, I called to report the smell of gas and asked for a technician to come out to inspect their installation. At this time I explained to the technician the sloppy workmanship done inside and outside, as well as how our floors were trashed in the process. I also gave the technician pieces of black pipe, a tool and a large tarp which the installers left behind, explaining that from the appearance our floors, it was evident that the installers did not use the tarp. I expressed to the technician that I should not be charged for this service call & he agreed indicating that he would tell the office not to charge us. I subsequently received a bill for $112.20 for the visit made by the technician. After receiving the bill, I called our contact person at Absolute Heating, Chris, and explained all of the above, he said he would check into it and call me right back. It's been over 10 days, and I'm still waiting for his call.
