Kelly arrived promptly. He did not allow me to join him as he inspected the house, rather told me to sit and wait until he was finished, then he would explain things at the end. When he was finished we toured the house and he gave a short lecture for each room. He discouraged questions, sometimes ignoring them, talking over me, or walking away. When pressed, he gave short answers without any explanations (yes/no, without follow-up). Appeared to have done a thorough job. Found a few problems that I definitely would not have found. At the end he rushed to get my signature and money so he could leave. I explained that he did not check the outbuilding that had electric inside it, and asked if he could check that. He tried to ignore me, to which I asked again. He then said he would not do it without scheduling another appointment and paying more. I was confused since he didn't state that at the beginning, nor over the phone when I told him about the property. He then threatened to not send me the inspection report, "do you want the inspection report or not?" Basically being extorted for my desire to not completely waste the evening, I agreed. Kelly's inspection and report seemed thorough. He provided the inspection report by email on the same night. Kelly only scheduled the inspection report for 2 hours, which of course is not enough time, and the owners returned before he was finished which was awkward. I don't know if this was why he was rushing me to leave; he never explained it. In summary, Kelly does not seem to like dealing with people. I feel like his ideal inspection would be one where the buyers say absolutely nothing. He seems to have a skewed perception of what it means to be "patient," as he claimed he was being patient with me, while his impatience was apparent to myself, my wife, and my realtor. Threatening to not provide the report (and effectively waste both of our times) simply to get his way was quite bad business. Also he doesn't understand how 'voltage' and 'current' are different, as he could not competently answer my questions about the electric service (I am an electrical engineer). He got his $330 this time - I hope to spare you the guilt of paying for this guy's services... STAY AWAY!!!
