We had a 3 car driveway installed. Beautiful work. Beyond expectations. You may be on a wait list - but the quality of work is worth it.

I had some work done this past spring/summer and am still upset with Star City. The installing crew did not follow the plans as drawn by the salesperson. Elevation is too high causing the slope to be towards the driveway rather than away from it. The lead man kept calling my wife and talking her into other changes, none of which turned out well. Follow up by management was lousy. All they were concerned with was placing blame on my wife who wasn't present when the sidewalk was installed. I definitely will not use this company for any future work and cannot recommend them.

Because of the unusual requirements for my garage move and the limited site access, Justin came to review the job prior to starting the job. Justin and his crew were excellent. They had contacted OOPS to locate any underground utilities on the work site, and had scheduled the foundation inspection before they began the job. They arrived promptly, removed the brick piers and foundations, removed the steel fence and gate, excavated the foundation extension, and were ready for the city inspector by noon! They poured the foundation that afternoon. The rest of the work progressed as quickly. They came prepared to work, had all the necessary equipment, tools, and materials with them; did not waste any time, scheduled their sub-contractors and materials deliveries to be on site when needed: and took care not to cause any damage to the neighbor's property. After the garage was moved, I scheduled their return to complete new garage approach slab. They again arrived promptly and completed the approach slab with the same professionalism and care - all in less than a day.

They did a very good job. protected my property from construction damage. Were very courteous while working. In my opinion treated my property as if it were their own. The final product appears to be of professional quality. The price was the best of all the quotes I checked but I would have liked a better deal.

They were very professional and actually worked with our schedule. They came out about a month and half earlier than they originally planned so that we can have a patio for the summer time. They were very well done. It works well with us. The only concern I have is that they were slightly higher priced then some of the rough estimates I was getting. For the quality, I think the price is worth it. If I have something I would use them again in the future.

We needed some concrete work done for a new sunroom we were having built. We had received a recommendation for Star City Concrete and and after checking their reviews we contacted them to give us an estimate. Scott Allen came out to find out what we needed and to give us an estimate. He emailed the estimate to us within a day. We decided to go with them and signed the contract on May 31st. The scheduled start date was set for Jul 5th so the work would be done before the sunroom construction that was scheduled to begin in late July. We received a call saying they needed to delay the start date until July 8th due to a backlog caused by all of the rainy weather in the early summer.


The crew arrived on July 8th to begin the work. It was an exciting day as it meant our construction project was finally getting underway! But the excitement quickly turned to disappointment a short while later when it turned out there was a mix up with the permit. The work was being done under a building permit obtained by another company for the project. They continued with the demolition of the old concrete and steps we were having taken out, but they would have to wait until the permit issue was cleared up before they could pour the footer and the new slab. We found out we needed to submit a request for a zoning variation due to the depth of our backyard being 8 feet too short. It is unfortunate that we didn't find out about this sooner, but this was no fault of Star City concrete as the building permit was requested by the company building the sunroom. We filed the paperwork immediately to request the zoning variance. After the mandatory 10-day waiting period the zoning variance was approved and the work resumed on July 23rd.


They took care to protect the yard by putting down plywood so their equipment wouldn't put ruts in the yard and they brought the concrete to the back yard with their "power buggy" so no large truck would need to drive on the lawn. Their crew worked well together and they got all of the remaining work done in two more days (thee days total). We are very happy with the results! We will definitely use Star City Concrete in the future when we need additional concrete work done. Thanks to everyone we dealt with at Star City--Scott Allen, Jay Jackson, Justin Jackson, and the rest of the crew, Ryan, Matt, and Rob. Thanks for a job well done!

Excellent from beginning to end. They were very professional from the contract presentation to their team members, their equipment, their punctuality, their product, their finishing technique, the cleanup, and the final product. I could not have been more pleased. It is very obvious that they all work well together and respect each other and communicate well. This team excavated a substandard driveway poured on 7/25/12 by another contractor (disaster)....Star City team poured the new driveway, patio and sidewalk and did an excellent job. They take great pride in their workmanship and it is evident in the final product. I highly recommend them.

The representative was punctual, professional, and provided lots of free advice on the best ways I could achieve the intended look for my house. Although I haven't started the planned project, I intent to do so next Spring.
