his subcontractors were loud and worked till past dark. they used a metal wheel barrow to hold a tarp on my brand new ac unit scratching it. they didn't cover the vent hole to my gas water heater and boiler system causing a required cleaning. where they set the skid on my driveway it damaged it. the rubber roof was cut wrong and the strip holding it to the side of the structure was screwed on with several kinds of screws and not enough and then no trim to hide the edge ... they have not done any work on the front awning a year later. the gutters are angled wrong and hold lots of water and mosquitos. I cannot get the owner/sales guy Terry to call me back except once when I used an alternate number a fake address and name to get a quote "on a new roof".

Done in timely manner

I had to follow up with another contractor to fix what he failed do when installing a new roof on my home because the work was done so poorly. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Done in one day

After a catastrophic storm went through on June 29th, several neighbors were getting their roofs checked along with us. We knew we also had damage from the storm but weren't sure as to what degree. Neighbor across the street got his roof replaced by Better Builders, then the neighbor right next door got his replaced by Better Builders. Two more on the block had roof jobs done by BB as well. I watched the crew of Better Builders as they worked and was impressed with the speed and dedication of the crews. Afterward I talked with some of the neighbors and found that they were quite satisfied with BB and the work they did for them. They all said that they would recommmend that company to me. I contacted my insurance company and reported a claim, then contacted Terry, the owner of Better Builders to get an inspection. They confirmed that I did have damage and that insurance needed to come out and see it. My insurance company came out, confirmed that we did indeed have storm damage on all sides, BUT....not enough to replace the entire roof, only spot repair it. I wasn't pleased with the decision and Terry supported my story. The insurance company immedietly sent me a check two days later for 1/10th of what I felt I was entitled to. I was very disappointed in my insurance company and not sure where to turn to next. Terry, who has over 25 years in the business, guided me through the process through the next 6 weeks. I had to go through 4 more insurance inspections AT MY INSISTANCE, AND AT TERRY'S GUIDANCE, but eventually the insurance company complied and allowed for an entire roof replacement. I could not have done it without Terry's knowledge of the system and his experitse in the roofing business. His crew did the entire job in one day and worked virtually non-stop. They did a very good job and the roof really looks great. I am very happy with the results. Terry was very responsive to my requests and customer service with all employees I encountered was very nice. I am very thankfull for Terry sticking with me and guiding me along the way. I would have easily given up after that first inspection had he not been there explaining all of my options along the way. The insurance company would have easily won this one. On top of that, the workmanship is great and I can see why Better Builders is rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. I highly recommend this company to anyone and in fact, will be using them again next spring to install windows for me.

It was an insurance job and he sweet talked us into using him. The roofing was an inch and a half away from  the siding. They didn't put the step flashing on properly either it was stuffed under the siding. He subs out all of the work and picks people up to do the work as cheap as he can. After he sent out the 4th repair crew, I had them take part of the roof off to repair a shotty job. People should not use this company. You should just run and do not use this guy because he will give you the cheapest job possible.
