Incompitent. Home inspector could not figure out how to operate a 2 way switch, turn a basic gas furnace on, and doesn't know what en expansion joint in a foundation is and claimed the foundation had moved outward into the earthen ground behind it dispite any cracks in mortar joints or block (basement walls move inward not outward into the earth) his level of competency or lack there of would be laughable if he didn't charge for it. Not to mention he did his dictation and documentation at my breakfast bar and kept needing my wi fi password..... what does he do at his office? This is not professionalism. The home has been reinspected by a seperate engineer/home inspector and his report has been largely disproven total inconvience and waste of money.
Response from Superior Home Inspections Ltd
"This review was posted by a very disgruntled seller because the buyer walked away from the sell due to the very poor condition and lack of maintenance to the home. His review is completely inaccurate. He failed to mention that the primary roof of the home needs replaced as well as most of the windows. He is lying about me needing his internet password because my software does not require internet service! He is also lying about having his house reinspected. The two way switch he mentioned ( there is no such thing) its called a three way switch and it was wired improperly. He practically hot wired the very old furnace in front of myself, the buyer and the buyers Realtor to get it to come on. The masonry block foundation has an inward bow and a horizontal crack as stated in my report. There is no such thing as an expansion joint in this type of foundation. Structural expenses like this are significant. I was very professional even when he was rude to myself, the buyer and the buyers Realtor at various times throughout the inspection. Typically sellers are not at the home inspection but his guy was. My inspection was spot on and he was not happy I uncovered all these deficiencies and much more. This buyer is so happy with my service she is having me do her inspection on another home she just bought. I have been in business 21 years / over 10,000 home inspections done."

Superior Home Inspections is as thorough as you would expect when it comes to home inspections. I actually used SHI twice and it was well worth the money. The first home had a crawl space and Tony got under there, found water, corroded duct work, and mold. Needless to say I used the inspection to get out of that deal, and considering I paid hundreds to save thousands, I'm relieved. Tony actually used the photos from that inspection for his website. The second time around went much better. Tony is extremely knowledgeable and notices things I would never even know to look for. He's extremely thorough, has all the proper equipment, and even prints your copy of the inspection right on sight.

Tony was great!  Very professional - very thorough.  Shared all findings with me as we walked through the home and provided a hard copy of his report before the appointment was over.  He was more than willing to answer all of my questions and took his time with the walk thru.  I would recommend Superior to anyone looking to purchase a new home.  It is an important investment - and Tony's knowledge and insight made us feel comfortable with our purchase.

Everything went well.  The inspector (Tony, the proprietor) was punctual, professional, courteous, informative.  He produces the home inspection and termite reports on the spot.  (Radon unit has to be left in place 48 hours.  Report was emailed.)  Superior's prices on these services is in line with competitors. I'd recommend Tony to anyone.

TONY IS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND THOROUGH. HE MET ME AT THE HOUSE AND WAS THERE WHEN I ARRIVED. HE WENT THROUGH THE HOUSE WITH ME AND EXPLAINED WHAT HE WAS LOOKING FOR AND WHAT HE FOUND. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS FOR MINOR REPAIR AND ASKED THE HOMEOWNER TO FIX SOME ITEMS. HE CREATED AN IN-DEPTH REPORT FOR ME TO HAVE AND MADE SURE I UNDERSTOOD EVERYTHING WE WENT OVER IN THE HOUSE. TONY IS CONSCIENTIOUS AND VERY EASY TO WORK WITH.
