We love Matt and his sons/crew. They are very professional and do amazing work. He is very sought-after, so it is hard to get in touch with him and get on his calendar, but it is worth the wait if you can build the time into your project. He's done multiple jobs for us in the last 3 years, both big and small, and we have loved his work and creativity.

The inspection went well. Everything was explained in great detail. Very happy with the service that I had received.

Severens construction has helped me with a few projects (plumbing/electrical/remodeling) He has always shown up on time, he has never left a mess, and his work always exceeds my expectations. I have and would recommend him for any job you have around the house.

I couldn’t have asked for a better “all in one” handy man. They were here on the days he said and always on time. They showed up ready to work. They took proper measures to make sure they didn’t make a mess and cleaned everything before they left. They are friendly and made the transition much easier to get through. I will use them anytime I need something done. His work is unlike most. He cares and you don’t find people like that now a days. I highly recommend him for all and any remodeling.

Amazing and very helpful

Severns did a great job at completing my basement project with all of my specifications. He was very accommodating and was able to make changes as I needed. His team worked around my schedule was very cost competitive. He also worked with me as I wanted to do some of the work myself to help reduce the cost.

The overall experience was very good. The house they worked on was empty, but nonetheless, there are few contractors to whom I would give a lockbox code and let them work on their own, at their own pace. Trust is a big factor and Matt is very honest and upfront. They did an excellent job, in a timely manner, of completing all the work. From the pricing to the completion of the work, he was very upfront, direct and we got to work fairly quickly. And, he really tried to save me a lot of money in the process--since he knew were about to sell the house. I would recommend him for any type of work, large or small.

Entire job took 5 days. Crew arrived promptly at 8 am and worked through the day. Were courteous and considerate that they were in our home throughout the entire process. Cleaned up after themselves.
Kept us informed on progress.Consulted immediately when decisions needed to be made. If something needed to be done that was unforeseen and not included in original project, discussed this with us and got approval before proceeding. Extremely pleased with the outcome.

severn's construction was the best. Matt arrived early on time explained in detail exactly how long this project would take,he kept me informed step by step. He is very professional with his work. He explained and listened to what I was trying to achieve in my bathroom.
He was finished by the time he promised. Matt had to drive at least (1) hour each way to do this job. I would recomend him to anyone that  is interested in getting a professional job or any project done correctly in a timely matter.I could keep going I think most reader's will get the point by now give SEVERN'S CONSTRUCTION CO. the job you will not be disappointed.  "keep up the good work"

We are very happy with the stairs Matt built us to replace the old stairs going into our basement. I'm finishing a room in the basement and building stairs is beyond my novice carpentry skills. He was very friendly and professional and communicated with me to make sure that the job was done the way I wanted. The steps turned out great and I feel the price was fair. He even gave me helpful suggestions for the framing I'm working on. I will definitely call Matt the next time I need skilled carpentry work in our house.

He's done a really good job. We had a lot of problems here. He had to get us a new sump pump and stuff like that. They did pump water out of our air ducts that were on the floor. The sump pump wasn't working, they pumped 50 gallons out of there. We were going to hire them to do some other too because we were so impressed with him. He is knowledgeable, professional, honest, friendly and hardworking.

By our request, replaced laminate countertop over existing laminate without removing countertop..  This was a big job, and Matt was very clear that he really didn't have time to do it, but because we were on a pretty tight timetable, he sqeezed us in after hours and worked very hard to get the job done.  When the job took a little longer than expected, he came back bright and early the next morning to finish it up before going on to his regular jobs for the day.  It looks amazing, we love it, and Matt is ridiculously fun to work with. I have a few more things I need done, and we'll definitely call him again.

Matt was very professional, and did an awesome job with our bathroom renovation. He maintained communication with us throughout, and helped us several times while we were deciding on design details for the bathroom. Matt's attention to detail was impeccable, right down to aligning the screws in our light switch. We were very impressed with every aspect of his service.  When he brought a helper, he was every bit as respectful and professional as Matt.
No matter what we asked for, Matt knew how to make it happen. We've never met a more knowledgeable contractor. He was very understanding of us having to move in while renovation was going on. He was respectful of our home and animals, especially when boxes were everywhere during our move. He was also very flexible with bringing his own generator when we were having a new electrical panel installed. We thought that was above and beyond what he needed to do, and were incredibly appreciative that work would continue while the house was having work done in several areas at once. We are looking forward to hopefully having Matt help us with future renovations in our house, and have recommended him to several friends who were also looking for a contractor to help with kitchen and bathroom renovations. At the end of this renovation, we consider Matt as a friend and miss having his cheerful personality around our house. We look forward to hiring him again in future.

? Bust out a 10-12? trench around inside perimeter of basement footer.
? Add weep holes in cores of block below grade.
? Install footer drains, gravel, an 18? crock and ½ hp sump pump.
? Install drainage board.
? Concrete over trench level with existing service.

? Replace pipe boots, instal vents, and re-flash chimney.
