Maid For You

I was very detailed on what services I needed and while they were very polite and professional the work requested was not completed. I would leave a list with the cleaners and they acted offended or irritated of the cleaning needed. I paid over $300 plus tip on a job and even though they sent the cleaner back because the work was not completed, they then asked for more money instead of making it right.

They do a great job.  The people that own the business are very professional.  She goes through everything that you want to have done and this saves me a lot of time.  They even follow special intructions such as not using water on my wood floors.

This cleaning service has been very inconsistent with the employees that have been sent out.  I had actually called and left a message in the beginning of the week with the owner to reschedule my cleaning for 2 weeks from today.  I did not received a response, and presumed it had been taken care of.  My doorbell rang at 8:30, and it was someone from Maid For You to clean the house.  Needless, to say, I was not expecting her, but told her to go ahead anyway.  I do all of the dusting (because of scratched tabletops with this service in the past), I make my own beds and vacuum my bedroom and closet.  The cleaning I expect includes the 2 bathrooms upstairs, the two bathrooms on the main floor (1 full and 1 half), vacuum the upstairs hall, steps and the main floor and washing the kitchen and laundry room floor.  It usually takes the person cleaning about 4 hours to complete the cleaning.  This morning it took 2 hours.  When she was putting on her coat, I asked her if she had cleaned the kitchen countertops and she said "No, do you want me to?"  I then went into the laundry room and asked if she had vacuumed the rug in there.  She said, "No, do you want me to?"  I also asked her if she had cleaned the cupboard doors, and she said, "No, do you want me to?" At this point, I said no, I will do it and she left.  I called the owner and told her I was very dissatisfied and that she had already left.  The owner has been to my house and was quite surprised that she was done.  As I was talking to her, I saw that the kitchen sinks had not been cleaned, the appliances had not been wiped dow - still full of fingerprints - and not one inside window had been cleaned.  The floor under the kitchen table had not been cleaned nor had the base of the table.  Everything mentioned is supposed to be considerate "standard service" from Maid For You.  The owner offered to have someone else come on Monday to "provide the cleaning you paid for", but I told her I would just do it because I did not want the house a mess for the week-end.  I paid $90 for today's cleaning. I would not recommend this cleaning company as there are too many inconsistencies - and I don't believe I should have to baby-sit for a service that is supposed to make my life easier.
