Luce’s Chimney and Stove Shop

Two nice young men came out and did a superb job. They covered and protected everything. The entire fireplace looked brand new when they finished. They charge more than the folks who usually do it but the job was perfect and most people just send one guy. My fireplace is double sided and larger than most so it probably made it easier and faster to get the job done. Good professional young men Kyle & Jake.

The worker showed up as scheduled and cleaned the fireplace chimney quickly. They also offered maintenance advice that might need to be done on the chimney.

They were very disorganized and dishonest. In the fall we scheduled an appointment for a chimney sweep and they rescheduled with us multiple times before actually coming out. Then on December 15 the glass in our fireplace cracked so we called to get a replacement one. We were told it would take about a week. We paid when they ordered it and on December 19 the money was taken out of my account to pay for the glass. On January 9 (3 weeks from when my money was received) I called back to check on it. When I called I was told that it was ordered on December 16 but they would have to look to see if it had arrived. Then on January 10 we played phone tag and the Office manager Zach told us that the glass had been ordered on December 22 in a voicemail. Then when I spoke with him on the phone he said that it was ordered December 23 (7 days after I had placed my original order) but the product was backordered. He stood his ground that it was not Luce's fault and refused to apologize to us about the situation. When I called to cancel my order and asked to speak with someone else he said that their was no one else for me to talk to. I ended up placing my order with another company who checked with the distributor and the product is not backordered.

Installation went well. Technicians were very professional, knowledgeable and capable of handling unexpected obstacles in our 107-year-old house. The only difficulty was in scheduling and one missed appointment.

Dave arrived to clean my chimney on a somewhat rainy day, and I wondered if he would be able to do it. The rain let up some, and Dave
was able to clean the chimney with no problems. He also took care inside, and carefully laid out drop cloths, and even had boot
protectors. Completely cleaned the stove, inside and out.
Nice to hire someone who knows what they are doing! I would highly recommend them.

We were very happy with the installation and they took time to really explain how the awning works, etc.  Would use them again.  The crew was very polite and helpful.

Never replied to message so I phoned them to schedule a visit by them to evaluate my living room fireplace and upstairs bedroom fireplace. However they told me I needed to drive to their store and "look around"? Not very helpful at all.

We asked for a replacement unit to meet our expectations and initially were declined, however, after bringing our dissatisfaction to the attention of Angie's List a resolution was achieved with Luce's Chimney and Stove Shop who agreed to provide a no charge replacement chimney cap with a much better fit.  This work was completed April 22, 2014 and now we are satisifed with the installation and appreciate the outcome driven by Angie's List.

Went very well. After a terrible storm, a tree fell in our yard and damaged our chimney. We called them and they responded promptly. Gave us a price and within 3 weeks they replaced it. At that time most chimney places were booked up. Luce's were very busy, too. But they found the time to squeeze us in. Thank you Luce's.

Excellent Service - Luce's was the second chimney sweep that I hired in the last month and they corrected my smoking fireplace problem.

Fireplace was unsafe to burn since it was older and had block that resisited the smoke from going straight out the chimney. Luces came in, smoothed out the block and made the fireplace safe to use. They were friendly and very professional. The job was done in less than 8 hours and there was no mess. I recommend Luces with any fireplace or chimney needs. Job well done!!

The day of they came out to install the fireplace insert, they arrived on time, placed protective covering over my carpet and cleaned up afterwards.  They educated me on the remote control and were very professional and friendly.  The whole process only took about 3 hours from start to finish.
