Newman Roofing

I have used Newman Roofing for roof replacement on my home, roof repair at another house I own, gutter cleaning and gable vent rescreening. They are wonderful. They do quality work and go the extra mile to make sure I am satisfied completely. They are courteous and friendly. They care about me and are readily available to answer questions or check out a concern I may have. They pay attention to detail. I find Newman Roofing to be a tremendous company that stands above the rest of companies I have worked with over the 50+ years I have owned houses. They have my unconditional endorsement.

Newman roofing was everything that was expected and more. Total honesty, professionalism, and quality of workmanship. I had two bad experiences with other roofing companies, one that didn’t show up to patch 30 some shingles that blew off my roof and there was a big windstorm coming the next day. . I called Chuck Pate at Newman at 4 o’clock and he was at my house in 20 minutes and spent an hour and a half patching over 30 shingles that blew off. They have a set price for an excellent quality shingle with an excellent warranty. The other two companies that I dealt with said they will take whatever the insurance pays, but then I find out that they also order the cheaper shingles for the edging and cut corners wherever they need to. That is not how Newman works. They have top of The line installers and top-of-the-line quality products, and I am so thankful that after everything I went through with the other roofing companies that I found Newman roofing. They contacted me for every aspect of the installation. I knew upfront everything that was going to be done. I was able to ask any questions, no matter what it was. They made sure that I was absolutely satisfied. Thank you Newman Roofing for all of your excellent employees and everything that you did to make my roofing experience an excellent one. I now have excellent quality Shingles. And I am very satisfied.

they were very good. the team they sent out had a really good lead. the guy make sure the job is being done. they cleaned up after themselves. had a good conversation.

The representative came out and we discussed my options. He went on the roof and measured to determine the amount of materials needed. The job supervisor called me the day before my installation , said they would be there at 7 am to start. The next day just before 7 they pulled in my driveway and started. Complete tear off of old shingles and under-lament. All new valley trim , drip edge , flashing around chimney and changed my cap vents to ridge vent. Everything I was told would be done was and the crew did a very professional job.

I’ve never witnessed such precision on a roof replacement. Crew was on time at 6:30am and were finished by 2pm. Stripped old shingle roof and replaced with a standing seam metal roof. End result was a beautiful roof with a much higher strength and much longer life expectancy. They were not the cheapest quote but they did it correctly and with better materials than most metal roof companies. Pay attention to the difference between quotes and you won’t be disappointed with the final product. Would hire Newman Roofing again without hesitation. Excellent experience from quote to finish.

I can't recommend this company enough. They are responsive and professional! Called today because a painter doing the ceiling in a second floor ceiling found a couple of small soft spots. Alex and Jim arrived within three hours of my call and checked the attic and the roof.

Disclaimer: Newman Roofing did not ask me to leave a review or provide any sort of incentive for doing so. I do not often leave reviews, however, I tend to use them often when making decisions on major purchases so I thought this might be helpful for someone else down the road. Newman replaced our roof a few days ago and I could not have been more pleased with the experience. I had four different roofing companies quote my house including some of the larger players in the Columbus area. Every single other company that came out was late to my appointment. Kurt, their estimator, was early to the appointment and I gave him the exact some overview of my needs that I gave to every other vendor. Newman was the only company that actually got up on my roof to confirm the information rather than just accepting I needed my roof replaced. Every other vendor left me a quote only and Newman left me with a packet of information including sample building materials for me to review. They ending up quoting me a couple grand cheaper the other vendors and they were the only ones that didn't give me a line about "supply chain issues" or try and recommend anything beyond exactly what I needed. I ended up going with their top end option because the price was comparable to the other vendors' mid-range quote and the warranties will likely last longer then I will. Needless to say, I signed with them same day and they gave me a date range for installation between June 1st and June 15th depending on the weather. Newman ended up scheduling me for June 15th and arrived exactly at 6:30am as agreed due to the temperatures forecasted to be in the mid-90s. They draped the house with netting to protect the windows and siding from falling debris and their crew even helped lift the netting for us when we needed to take the dog for a walk in the morning. They had a dedicated supervisor, Tyler, on-site for the install and he said he had been working with his crew for 4 years. He had his entire crew come out for the install due to the heat, and from setup to completion they did my entire roof in less than 6 hours! It was unbelievable. The business is family-owned and two of the family members stopped by to check on the progress and their team during the installation. They rolled the yard to clean up and stray nails and I haven't found one to-date. I was concerned about how many sheets of wood I'd have to replace as it added cost to the roof if any bad sheets were found. Luckily, all the sheets for the roof were in great shape and the price the estimator gave me was exactly the price I paid to the penny. There's always a concern during home projects that the vendor is going to "up-charge" you by replacing things that do not actually need replaced. I can honestly say, Newman Roofing is not one of those companies. The roof looks amazing and my next door neighbor wanted their information to handle his repairs going forward based on the results. I can't speak highly enough about this company as their customer service was the best I've seen from any company in a long time. I will be recommending Newman Roofing to everyone going forward!

Excellent work. Team leader showed up well in advance to double check work materials and look over the job. Roofing crew was well trained, well organized and professional. Old roof removed and new roof and skylights installed quicker than expected. Extra care was taken to make sure debris did not damage any landscaping and the ground area around the house was thoroughly cleared of all old shingles, nails and other debris. Team leader reviewed completed job and provided photos of all areas of new roof, valley and skylights.

The initial call was handled professionally and expeditiously. We had someone come out the following day and place a tarp to prevent further leaks until repairs were made. The following Wednesday we had an inspection and a cost proposal was provided. We accepted on Friday morning, and by Monday morning (3 days later) we had a 3 person crew at our house at 8 am to start repairs and replacement of the skylights. The job was completed by mid to late afternoon. A quality control inspection was performed while the crew was still on site. The crew performed a very thorough, professional and complete cleanup. The crew in particular Manuel Rojas, his son Manny and Alex did a great job. Attention to detail, quality of work, efficiency, job site cleanup was SUPERB! No complaints or concerns, PERIOD!

We had a very positive experience with Newman Roofing. The sales rep was thorough, knowledgeable and not pushy, giving us options to consider. After receiving 4 estimates we chose Newman Roofing, feeling they would offer high quality at a fair price. We received a two-week window for the job to happen, and received a call a couple days beforehand giving us the exact date. The morning of the job, the supervisor Dustin arrived and was our point-person throughout the day. He spent the day overseeing the project on site, discussing any potential issues with the foreman, taking pictures and keeping us apprised. The roofing crew covered our landscaping, set up sheets of plywood to protect our first floor windows, and plugged up the downspouts to keep nails and debris out. We appreciated their attitude of safety—of ours in entering and exiting, and of the crew in being tied in when possible. I felt welcome to ask questions and we communicated often through the day. The VP of Production stopped by for awhile to check on the project and answer questions as well. At the end of the day, the crew thoroughly cleaned up the debris, checking the lawn with a rolling magnet and even running a magnet over the shrubs looking for nails. The new roof looks great; our house and property look undisturbed. We have already recommended Newman Roofing to two neighbors looking to replace their roofs.

Sales staff was very professional and helpful in explaining materials, process and cost. The crew leader and crew members were very focused and did a great job. You could tell that they enjoyed working together and doing a good job for the customer.

Newman Roofing is “Outstanding”. During hard rains, we would have a small leak from around a vent pipe on our (35 year old) roof. The sales representative explained the entire process and answered all of our questions during a “zero pressure” sales presentation. In person communications along with text messages and photos kept me updated throughout the entire project. The crew arrived as scheduled. They fixed the leak, painted the vent pipe to match our new shingles, replaced the roof and cleaned up. They treated my property as if it were their own. The crew worked as a team to complete the entire job in less than seven hours! The team arrived promptly around 7:15 am and worked steadily until job was finished by afternoon. Tyler, the project manager, continuously monitored and assisted the workmen, answered my questions, and performed additional work at no extra cost. He was knowledgeable, efficient, responsive, and polite. My flowerbeds and other areas were protected and cleanup at the end of the job was great.

Our experience with Newman Roofing was Top Notch. From the initial call to the office too schedule an estimator, until the day the roof was installed my wife and I could not be any happier!!! Jason Whiteley, who was our estimator, arrived on time, and after completing his inspection he sat with my wife and I to explain Newman's approach to replacing our roof. He provided multiple options and explained the benefits of each option. Additionally, Jason videoed a section of the plywood underlayment and showed how it was delaminating, and should be replaced. He explained the additional cost, but explained the benefit of replacing the plywood. The other roofing companies estimator's indicated the plywood "May Need to be Replaced". Jason showed roofing shingle catalog, and it there were more shingle color options to choose from. Our first choice was not available, but our second choice 'MID ATLANTIC BLUE' was available and that sealed the deal. The extreme quality of service did not stop with the contract signing. In addition to replacing the roof we needed to replace all the stucco on our house as well. Jason worked behind the scenes with the stucco contractor to coordinate timing and materials that needed to be used to ensure our house was sealed properly. While the stucco contractor was at our house Jason delivered necessary flashing materials and talked with the crew to make sure flashing was properly installed on a low angle roof section of our roof. Three days prior to installation I received call from Newman's production scheduling and they provided install date (weather permitting), site prepping that I needed to do to ensure roofing crew access and the name of the crew leader. The day before installation Newman crew leader Dustin called me and said his crew would be onsite around 7:00AM the next day. When the roofing crew arrived Dustin and I spoke, and I explained my biggest concern was protecting the stucco on the house. The roofing crew proceeded to placing protective netting all around the house. Next the crew removed all the old shingles in less then an hour and all the plywood in another hour. The shingles were going on by 10:00AM and by lunch time the majority of the new shingles were installed. The crew was done installing shingles, cleaning up and taking down netting by 3:00PM. The crew spent time installing and sealing customized flashing around our chimney, and completed this task by 4:00PM. During installation the production manager stopped by the house several times to check the work, and talk with me to answer any of my questions. THANK YOU THANK YOU Newman Roofing. Called for an estimate, set up appointment they were on time and let us know how much an estimate would be told them we would think about it because they weren't the only company we were receiving a quote from. Well we decided later we would choose Newman and we did. We were quoted for a full resheet and wound up not needing it which saved us over 6,000. They were courteous and respectful. Never felt pressured into buying anything other then what we were willing to purchase. I would definitely recommend Newman Roofing for any and all roofing needs.

It went well! Newman Roofing was excellent to work with, they were great communicators, professional, and did excellent work. They accommodated our needs to come in/out of the house on the day of roof replacement and did great work plus also cleaned up the area well.
