We at Yoder Drilling & Geothermal work closely with HVAC dealers to install the exterior loop portion of a geothermal system. We are a family owned and operated business since 1967 with over 20 years experience working throughout Ohio, PA, and northern WV. To estimate a budget number for your home we need information specific to your property. Generally we ask that you contact an HVAC dealer specializing in geothermal installations first. We work with more than 200 dealers and would be happy to recommend someone in your area. We look forward to serving you. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

From a business perspective, I dealt mainly with the prime contractor. I dealt with Yoder only because they did the outside work as a subcontractor. The dollar amount above is only my rough estimate for the subcontractor share of the job.
They showed up when promised. Got all of the drilling (5 x 175 ft wells) done in one day. A week later, they came back and got all of the trenching and piping done in a second day.
They were flexible. They managed to thread the trenches and pipes in between existing trees to minimize damage. They unfortunately damaged 5 buried pipes (2 I warned them about, 3 no-one knew existed) but they took it in stride and repaired each one good as new. They went above and beyond to do a little extra work as a favor while they were here and would not accept any extra money for it.
They left the yard a mess, but they warned me several times about this (even with pictures) before I signed the contract, so I no way hold that against them.
