.The Hoover cust. svc. dept. referred me to Strongsville Vacuum to provide me with warranty service for the the strange problem of having a rubberized part of the handle start shredding off, leaving black particles on the floor. We took this really great vacuum to the store late in the day on Jan. 6 and were happily surprised to get a call on Jan. 9 that the vacuum was repaired! Great service on a warranty call, don't you think? Beyond that, we are surprised that it is such a big replacement part to cover the shredding handle -- the "stem" of the machine, top to bottom, has been replaced along with the very long cord that was connected to it.
We couldn't be happier with the Hoover's performance over the past 4 years and that the warranty covered the problem, BUT we're also happy to share our great experience with Strongsville Vacuum. Fine people run this business and truly are interested in customer satisfaction -- APPLAUSE!

As stated above, I dropped off my vacuum for repair. They indicated they'd call me when the repair was completed. After 1 1/2 weeks I called them & they told me it was done and that they had rewired it and also cleaned it up & replaced the belt. When I got it home it was still broken. I didn't need them to replace the belt, nor clean it. That apparently is what I paid for because what I took it in for was still broken.
They told me to bring it back & that they'd need to order a part. After 3 wks. & several phone calls to them I never got any assurance that they knew what the status of my vacuum was. I was told by another dealer that if the part was available he could get it in within 3 days.
After 3 1/2 wks. I went back to Strongsville Vacuum and picked up my broken vacuum & took it somewhere else.
After examining the problem the dealer told me the vacuum couldn't be repaired & that it was a fire hazard because the unit had melted inside.
They told me to bring it back & that they'd need to order a part. After 3 wks. & several phone calls to them I never got any assurance that they knew what the status of my vacuum was. I was told by another dealer that if the part was available he could get it in within 3 days.

We still use Strongsville Vacuum, once a year. The vacuum was really good and actually the vacuum cost $750 and we bought a lot of bags for it and a service contract for $50. They are good at what they do, we kind of knew what we were looking for because, we had done some research on the internet. All we see them now for is repairs, they are really nice and do good repairs in a timely fashion.

Very frustrating experience. Dropped off a Hoover Spot Bot for repair of the casing. A MONTH later, it was still not fixed or even looked at. When they finally "repaired" it they commented on how dusty it was and how I didn't seem to use it much. (Dusty from sitting at their shop!) Very snotty attitude and charged me $17 to put some glue on casing. Today, when I went to use it, the casing fell apart again. Turns out they forgot to put the screws back in that held it together. Ugh!

The worked turned out well. The vacuum is working like normal. They did a nice job. When we went in, they took our information and they weren't abnormally friendly, but when we came to pick the vacuum up it was quite the opposite. The gentleman was very friendly and even carried the vacuum out to the car for me.

We went to the wrong (old) address because it wasn't updated on Angie's List (so I'd say call before you go). They were courteous, but slow--it took a week plus for them to get to us. There may not be that many places around that fix cleaners though so maybe that's why.

Nancy and Burt are the owners of this great business. I've never met Burt, but Nancy has always been very nice and takes great pride in her business and customer care. In fairness, I must give the most credit to Rob, their technician and "vacuum guru". He is friendly, polite and very knowledgeable about the pros and cons of all makes and models of vacuums. Additionally, Rob offered helpful suggestions and was attentive to our specific needs. I chose to purchase more of an industrial type vacuum in the Sanitaire. After approximately six months, however, we were really not satisfied with the product. I spoke with Rob by phone. He said to bring it back, as they were more than willing to work with us. I chose a very different model, and was extremely pleased to have them offer us an even exchange after so long a time. They even provided us a two-year warranty! It's really nice to work with people who are so committed to customer service. Highly recommended!

SINCE MY VACUUM CLEANER IS FROM SEARS, I HAD A DIFFICULT TIME FINDING SOMEONE TO REPAIR IT. SEARS WANTED OVER $50 JUST TO LOOK AT IT & IT HAD TO BE SHIPPED TO PITTSBURGH! STRONGSVILLE VACUUM DIDN'T HESITATE TO LOOK AT & REPAIR IT. TURNAROUND TIME WAS APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2 WEEKS.

THE PEOPLE THERE WERE NICE. I THOUGHT THE SERVICE WAS EXPENSIVE AND THAT IT TOOK TOO LONG TO GET THE CLEANER BACK. STILL, THEY DON'T HAVE ANY COMPETITION, SO I WOULD GO BACK.

THE YOUNG MAN I DEALT WITH CARRIED THE VACUUM FROM MY TRUNK TO THE STORE AND BACK AGAIN WHEN FINISHED. THE REPAIRED CORD WAS LONGER THAN THE ORIGINAL, MUCH TO MY DELIGHT. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS.
