Organized Interiors

It went great.  The organizer did a wonderful job.  She had clever ideas, discussed my goals with me, and works well with you along the way, leaving notes, reminders and even a few motivational homework items to get stuff where you want it in a more organized and effective fashion.

Shelley got my laundry/mud room organized and now it's so much more functional. This makes getting the kids out the door easier in the morning because now they know where their shoes, hats, gloves, and back packs, etc are. Here's what she did. Put up hooks for their book bags and coats also put each boys name above the hook. Now each child knows which one is his. She put all our hats on a hat organizer, purses on a purse rack, and scarves on a beautiful scarf rack. Measured spaces and found appropriate size shelving. And organized an area for shoes.

Shelley started in my kitchen pantry and it was full of food from every category. There were multiples of several items and many with expired dates. She emptied out the entire pantry and organized by food item. She used plastic organizers to categorize like items. Then she started on my kitchen cabinets, she reorganized them to maximize space and designated certain cabinets for baking, spices, etc. it has made working in my kitchen more organized for me and my family.

Shelley did a wonderful job. If it wasn't for her, all this stuff would still be sitting in boxes like it had been for years. She was great at envisioning were she thought things should go and how they should be organized. She would send me ideas through email or show me pictures so I had a part in the decision making process too. I had fun working with Shelley and would definitely recommend her.

The overall experience was great! After the initial visit, Shelley researched lots of storage solutions for the area I was looking to improve. She was quick to send emails with different options. When she returned with some of the products I wanted to include in the space, she jumped right in and started helping me make sense of my clutter. What I appreciate most about Shelley is her sincerity and kindness. It can be tough to sort through sentimental things; even harder to part with some of them. But she guided me through the process, and I started to look at those items in a much different way; which ultimately helped me to comfortably part with some of them. The extra space I was gaining and the weight that was lifted made the experience so worthwhile. There are a number of reorganization projects I'd like to tackle in the house, and I look forward to working with Organized Interiors again!
