I thought it went really well.

They are very good answering questions. Things are easy to find. We go there a lot.

Excellent quality door, professionally installed. Installer was right on time, completed work quickly, explained operation. Door looks great. Very good success with this and other Home Depot installation work. Will continue to use Home Depot for other projects - very good price and very good installs

Very pleased with the door. Price was right, love the built in blinds. Only complaint was the installers came at least an hour late.

We were happy with it. They have the best price. We had watched that particular item for some time so we were very well aware that we were getting a great price.

It was terrible.  I had a lot of confidence in Home Depot because I have been shopping there for many items.  
Two very young looking men did the job and I just trusted that they knew what they were doing because Home Depot sent them.
They carpeted two upstairs bedrooms, the upstairs hallway, the hall linen closet, the steps leading upstairs, and the coat closet on the landing at the bottom of the steps (in a Liberty Bell condo in Brook Park).
After the job, I went upstairs to look at the bedrooms.  They had not put the closet doors back on in the bedrooms and the linen closet, so I asked them to.
One guy explained that they could not clean up the little shredded pieces of carpet that were all over the carpet because their vacuum had broken.  So how would I really see what the carpet looked like?  My condo was vacant, and I did not have a vacuum for carpet there.
Again, expecting good work from Home Depot, I gave each worker $15 cash as a tip.
When they left, I looked at the seams in each of the steps and they looked bumpy and uneven.  Running my finger across the seam, the carpet bumps felt very thin in some places, and I could put my finger through holes in the seams on a couple of steps, feeling the tacks inside.  The way the carpet fits over the step looks awful, and way worse than the old carpet I had removed from the steps.  Also the old carpet on my basement steps has crisp fitted carpet and seams that look great, despite having tenants who had done damage.
There is an area in the hallway that has a puffy spot under the carpet that feels like padding may be bunched up under the carpet.
The piece of carpet in the linen closet was cut too short, as was the carpet in the large bedroom.  These things were noted by someone from GS Flooring who inspected and took photos. 
I asked the GS Flooring guy if the steps were only padded on the top of the steps and did not go over the lip of each step--he said only the top of the step was padded.  I had taken a photo of my old carpet before I removed it and a photo of how the padding was installed, showing that the padding went over each step, and down the back of each step, stopping before where the seam would be.  Someone told me that would have been the proper way, and suggested I get an independent inspection.  I have put a request in for an independent inspection, because I am not sure that all installation errors have been noted and that the quality of my carpet will still be good after it is stretched, and to assess the padding issue and poor work on the unsightly steps.
Someone at GS Flooring told me they have sub-contractors, so Home depot has a sub-contractor who has sub-contractors themselves.

The way my basement is set up, the installation required a very long exhaust hose for the dryer because it isn't on an outside wall.  They were not equipped for that sort of installation.  The representative was very nice and told me I needed to purchase a longer hose.  He also told me about getting a refund on the installation because they technically weren't able to install it.

I am very happy with what they did.  The carpet lady there that I dealt with is Terrific. Her name is Denise Richardson, and she is terrific.

A large crew of Home Depot subcontractors (as expected) showed up and did the work. They worked hard and finished my colonial style home in one day, returned the next day to finish my garage and mini-barn. The installation looks good, and has been leak-free for 2 months through several big rain storms.

I was actually quite happy with them. We had tried to get contractors to do it and we couldn't find someone. They were friendly, knowledgeable and professional.

The store manager assisted me with a purchase using my veterans discount. The manager got a loading cart, went with me to the merchandise (a lawn mower), loaded the merchandise, took me to another product (weed-n-feed) and loaded it, and escorted me to the checkout line.

The salesperson had some good ideas design wise for cabinet refacing and additions. I will not say I won't use Home Depot again because I have used them for my blinds and was satisfied. BUt I will never choose a company that won't put their quotes in writing. Additionally, I followed up and signed up for Angie's list AFTER this appointment and discovered (also on the blogs) that this problem is typical for Home Depot.

They took care of all of the inspection and permits. The man was out the next day to install it. I also purchased the extended guarantee. The man that installed the hot water heater was very nice and friendly.

I paid Home Depot the fee to measure and provide a kitchen cabinet layout for a kitchen remodel. They provided me a design layout and I told them I would let them know after researching a few other options. When I returned about 8 months later with a few modifications, they told me they would not update the plans and expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that I had been shopping around and getting ideas form others. I tried to explain that I have no intention of spending $12,000 ++ dollars without comparison shopping and seeking all the ideas. I spoke to the manager on the phone that night and explained the problem to him and my extreme dissatisfaction with having spent approximately $100 up front to be told now that they will not make a few changes and update the the floor plan.

I very good experience. They were very nice. The installer was thorough and cleaned up his mess.

The measuring was accurate with no questionable excess carpeting needed. The installation was excellent- the technicians arrived on time, installed the carpeting in 45 minutes, and cleaned up after themselves. The problem was with the salesmen. We had purchased the carpeting when it was on sale. After the measure, he called us and tacked on an additional $300 to the price. He initially refused to correct the price to reflect the sale price then corrected it when we refused to come sign for the job. When we came to sign the contract, he had tacked on additional charges for furniture moving AND large furniture moving which we never requested. When noted by us, he did remove those charges. Though we did wind up getting an excellent price on the carpeting, we had to be vigilant to what we were being charged for. I would do business again with them, though cautiously. The installers and measurer were great to deal with, but the salesman was horrendous.

THEY HAD MANY SAMPLES TO SHOW US AND ANSWERED ALL THE QUESTIONS WE HAD. REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE INSTALLATION TEAM CAME OUT AND CAREFULLY MEASURED AND CREATED A TEMPLATE OF OUR NEW COUNTER. THE COUNTER CAME IN JUST BEFORE EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE AND WAS INSTALLED IN A VERY TIMELY FASHION. THE MEN CLEANED UP EVERYTHING!

WE WEREN'T QUITE HAPPY WITH THE PERSON WHO CAME OUT TO MEASURE OUR FLOOR. WE DON'T HAVE HIS NAME; I'M NOT SURE WHY BUT WE BELIEVE HE WAS A SHAW REP. HE WAS SOMEWHAT RUDE AND NOT AT ALL HELPFUL WITH QUESTIONS. THE ACTUAL INSTALLER (Jand M FLOORS) WAS WONDERFUL. HE MEASURED EVERYTHING AND ONLY HAD TO CUT ONCE EACH TIME. THE BASEBOARDS WERE ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT AS NONE OF THE WALLS ARE SQUARE. WE DID RUN SHORT OF MATERIALS BECAUSE OF THE PATTERN MATCHING. A SHAW REP CAME OUT AND RE-MEASURED AND AGREED AND PROVIDED THE EXTRA MATERIALS NEEDED AT NO COST.

KRAFTMAID MAKES AN EXCELLENT CABINET. WE RE-OUTFITTED OUR ENTIRE KITCHEN. THE DELIVERY DATE WAS 2 WEEKS BEFORE THE ESTIMATED DATE. THE DRIVER AND HIS HELPER LOADED EVERYTHING IN THE GARAGE JUST WHERE WE WANTED THEM TO.
