I was shopping around and not only was Steve available within a couple days he was flexible around my schedule for me to attend the inspection as well. I was glad to be there as it was very insightful and helpful to make the purchase of my first house. The report for an general inspection and radon gas test was timely and helpful.

It seemed to be a detailed inspection until we actually moved in and realized that the inspector missed a fairly substantial issue in a floor. It had previous and visible rot that was not noted on our report nor were photos taken of the damage. The floor around one of the toilets is visibly sunken, so it's not a subtle problem. He actually noted the toilet was loose, but apparently couldn't see that it was sinking --- I saw it and I'm not a contractor. It was also visible underneath the room from the basement, which was accessible. The company was not willing to help us with the repair costs after the fact, although they are refunding our inspection costs. Had we gotten this information in the inspection, we would have not purchased the home at the price we did. The failure to see and note the floor rot will end up being fairly expensive for us to fix.

Steve was very thorough and he was able to identify a number of issues that needed to be repaired which enabled us to reduce our offer price for the purchase of the property. He was especially accommodating because we were not able to inspect the home on our first visit and he returned a few days later without charging us.
