Although we didn't end up using Chip and his crew for this project (we ended up doing some of the work ourselves), he was as usual on time, professional, and very easy to work with. We have other projects in mind and will continue to keep Green & White on the top of our list.

Chip came out to give an estimate. We gave him a very general idea of what we wanted. Chip was very friendly, professional, and easy to work with. He asked us questions on what we liked and made some very good suggestions. He sketched out a plan on-site-which was very helpful for us to ask questions and make changes right away. Chip has a good imagination for design and we really liked what he came up with. He suggested different plants and later emailed us pictures so we could get a better idea of what we liked. When the original estimate was a little more than we wanted to spend, he worked with us to make minor changes to reduce the cost. The work was done about 2-weeks later (this was at the end of summer, so we luckily didn't have long to wait). It was completed within a day. The results were terrific and it really transformed a bare ugly area into a showplace (see before and after photos). Chip is very enthusiastic person and it definitely shows up in his results. I plan on using him again on some other projects.

Chip returned my call he sounded courteous and professional. We arraigned to meet at my house in the early evening so he could survey the work to be done and put together an estimate. I left work early to get there in time to meet him. Chip never arrived. I have not heard from him since.

They gave us an estimate of $4,505-$4,655. It turned out that the ground was uneven and it still is. There was a number of bare spots and we asked them to fill them in and they may have filled in some and claimed that the rest would fill in itself in time. The fill-in topsoil, they brought in, had rocks and broken glass in it. This was in April 2007. We still have an uneven and weedy lawn. They said that this Fall they will spread more topsoil and seed at no cost to us.

"THE MEMBERS ARE A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH! THEY HAVE BEEN VERY PATIENT, AS WE'VE TRIED TO REMEDY THIS SITUATION; WHICH WE WILL (PLEASE NOTE THE LAST SENTENCE THAT WAS WRITTEN BY THE TEETERS. WE ARE DOING THE NEEDED WORK AT NO EXTRA CHARGE, WITHIN THE NEXT 10 BUSINESS DAYS). IT IS NOT ADVISABLE TO PLANT GRASS IN THE HEAT OF JULY/AUGUST, ESPECIALLY ON A LAWN WITH NO IRRIGATION. THE MEMBER'S WERE VERY DILIGENT ON WATERING, AS PER INSTRUCTED. WE HAVE MADE SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO ELIMINATE THE CRAB GRASS SITUATION, BUT THAT WILL NOT REMEDY THE BUMPINESS TO THE LAWN. THEIR LAWN HAD A MINIMUM OF (2) VERY LARGE, OLD MAPLE TREES PRIOR TO OUR ARRIVAL. THEY HAD THOSE CUT DOWN AT LEAST 1 YEAR PRIOR TO OUR WORKING. MAPLE TREES ARE KNOWN TO HAVE A LOT OF SURFACE/LARGE ROOTS. THAT WAS TOUGH FOR US TO REMOVE. MY ONLY COMMENT IS THAT THIS WAS THE FIRST I HAVE EVER HEARD ABOUT GLASS IN THE GROUND. I MAY HAVE NOT CAUGHT THAT BEFORE, IF THEY MENTIONED IT TO ME. IN CLOSING, AS PROMISED, THE MEMBERS ARE ON OUR PRODUCTION BOARD FOR US TO GET THIS SITUATION CORRECTED. I'VE PROMISED THEM FROM THE BEGINNING THAT WE WOULD MAKE IT RIGHT, AND THAT I WILL STAND BY MY WORD AND WORKMENSHIP. THUS FAR, IT IS A MYSTERY TO ME WHY THE GRASS LOOKS THE WAY IT DOES. I'M HONESTLY WONDERING IF THE GRASS SEED WAS MIS-MARKED, AS IT SEEMS TO BE MOSTLY RYE GRASS, AND NO BLUE GRASS. THEIR COMMENTS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO US, AS WE ARE STRIVING TO BE BETTER. Overall, I would say this was an excellent job. Some things changed as the landscaping went on, but Chip and his crew were more than receptive to the changes. They were constantly concerned about the quality of their work and how the project would be viewed when completed. I would say if you are having a land or hardscape project done by all means get 2 or 3 estimates, BUT make sure one of those estimates is from Green & White Outdoors. I would highly recommend Chip and his crew (Tony, Bill, Rio, Pat, Scott, etc.) to do any kind of outdoor improvements to your home. They are ethical, quality driven and creative! I myself have handled many projects in terms of my past career and I can greatly appreciate the planning, focus and overall organization that Chip gives to his customers' projects. In fact, they have been back twice to check on the job and to fill in some low and bare spots. I look forward to having the them do more work for me in the future.

I used Chip last summer for a different job and his work is high quality, so I called him again. He responded right away and started the job as soon as weather permitted. The job was completed on time and within the cost estimate he provided up front. I challenged him on some of the labor cost, and he responded with a detailed explanation for all costs. This guy is very concerned about delivering a quality product and we'll use him again. Price is somewhat high but they are not a crew of low-skill summer laborers.

Chip McClintock and Green and White Landscaping are very professional and knowledgeable. Chip responded to our phone calls immediately. We spoke to several other companies, and we believe that Chip was the only one to address the problem correctly. Green and White built a very sturdy and attractive retaining wall, and our drainage problems are solved. The men were very friendly and took great pride in their work. I would like to hire Chip and Green and White again for our more enjoyable landscaping projects.

I LOVED WORKING WITH CHIP! HE WAS ON TIME, AS WELL AS HIS WORKERS, RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS AND KEPT AN OPEN COMMUNICATION LINE WITH ME. HE HAD WONDERFUL IDEAS FOR MY PATIO AREA AND LANDSCAPING. HE WAS WILLING TO USE OLDER TREES THAT OTHER LANDSCAPERS WANTED TO SCRAP. (HE MADE THOSE SHABBY TREES LOOK GREAT). HE WAS AWARE OF OUR PRIORITIES AND BUDGET AND DID WHAT WAS NEEDED TO STAY WITHIN IT. MY HUSBAND IS PARTICULAR AND CHIP WORKED GREAT WITH HIM TOO. I WILL USE HIM AGAIN WHEN I'M READY TO DO THE NEXT PHASE OF OUR LAWN. CHIP WAS WORTH THE PHONE CALL.
