I have lost count of how many friends and family members I have referred to Seniors Helping Seniors. They will provide any non-medical service you need done for yourself (if you meet the age requirement but I'm not sure what that minimum age is...maybe 60?) or for a loved one. They will do yard work, house work, laundry, errands, sit with a family member so the care taker can get away, transportation to app'ts, etc. It is based on what the individual needs for their particular situation. Services run in a minimum of 2-hr blocks for payment and it is based on an hourly rate. Again, it is individualized as to the frequency of services provided based on need. Some long-term care policies cover part of this type of in-home care, also, but that varies, I'm sure. They have been a Godsend and I HIGHLY recommend them!
