Stump Magic

We had them cut down a tree and cut out an extremely overgrown hedge. They did an excellent job at a reasonable cost, and cleaned up very well after the job was finished. Overall, we are happy with their work and would use them again when needed.

Came to remove a stump. Showed up and in couple hours they were done. Cleaned up everything. Very nice guys, best prices around. And good guys just to talk to. Would definitely hire them again.

I highly recommend Stump Magic for any of your tree/stump removal needs. They removed two large trees and a stump, and did an incredible job of cleaning up. The workers are very personable and hard working young men who never stopped. I will definitely be hiring them again for any future tree related needs.

Quality service. Professional, competent, cordial, and fair. Removed two trees and trimmed back several others. Cleaned up so well afterwards that my yard looks better now than when before they came! Worked for 5-6 hours without a break. I was completely satisfied and will recommend them to any friends and neighbors who need similar services.

Tree/Stump Removal

Jessi and the crew were awesome. They were onsite originally for my neighbors, removing and pruning several trees. While in-between our houses they happened to noticed one tree of ours was pushing up against the house foundation, so they knocked on our door, mentioned what they saw, I said that I was actually getting quotes previously to get the tree removed for that exact issue. They gave me an extremely good quote since they were there already there. Best part was they actually had to come back the next day to get the work done cause they were working on the first house till night. Came back next morning, removed the tree and ground the stump, blowed all the leaves and left the place nicer than when they showed up. All in about 90 minutes time. Amazing work, and I wasn't even the one who originally called them. I've shared their business card with all my fellow homeowners now. Extremely nice guys, 10/10 would call them again.

We've used Jesse and crew several times. They did an excellent job as usual removing trees and stump grinding. They're easy to work with and cleaned up all the branches.

Guys made short work of the tree, ground the stump and removed all debris. While on site - I had them remove deadwood from another tree.

I had a aggressive bid from my usual tree service company, when I gave them the go ahead they said they were 10 weeks out. While mentioning the delay to a local nursery they suggested giving Stump Magic a call. After I called they came the next day to look at the job even though they are located about a 1 hour drive from me. They said they would match the existing bid and could get to the job in less than a week. They did a terrific job, I had NO yard damage and they throughly cleaned up afterward which was great as I'm REALLY picky about my yard. It went so well that I used them a second time to down 2 large storm damaged trees that were leaning dangerously against other trees. In all between the 2 services I had 7 trees downed/removed, 1 pruned and 3 stumps ground. One of the stumps was massive and since a new tree was planned to be installed in the same location they had to grind that location really deep.

Jesse and crew were awesome and hard working. They left the **** ** great shape. One large ranch broke my wood rail fence but the immediately owned up to the problem and fixed it. Great group of workers.

The five-man crew (Jesse, his brother Jeremy, their father and two associates) are friendly, professional, courteous, experienced and knowledgeable. They worked hard, safe and fast, and they were very accommodating to all of my requests. Their rates were also reasonable. I am glad that I chose Stump Magic over the other tree removal companies who gave me competitive bids on my project. Jesse was very responsive to my initial telephone inquiry. He and his crew came to the house the day he promised that he would come, looked at the project, provided the estimates, and we shook hand on the spot. They started the project immediately, showed up every day on time and was done in less than three days! They cleaned up all the debris, and hauled away all the yard wastes, and left the yard better than when they came. I highly recommend Stump Magic for any tree related services!

Perfect! Couldn't have asked for a better job. The yard was all cleaned up, the stumps were ground away. Looks like there were never any trees there!

Excellent! Jesse was straight-forward and very reasonable regarding his estimate to do the work. The Stump Magic crew were terrific! They worked hard (90+ degrees much of the day), successfully completed the major tasks and completely cleaned the site. Outstanding experience.  Jesse, the salesman, was knocking on doors in the neighborhood and any tree guy could see I had a very tall old Ash that was dying.  While I was planning to hold off on adressing the tree another year or so, I let Jesse give me a quote and then settled on $1,500 to cut down the tree, leave wood stacked and grind the stump.  Jesse assured me no payment was necessary until I was 100% satisfied.  I've had a fair amount of trees brought down any many broken promises from tree guys, but not Jesse and Stump Magic!

Jesse said rain was due the next day, which it did, so agreed to come back with the crew 2 days later.  Prompt and ready, the crew got to work.  The crew was friendly, courteous and clean cut appearance. These guys didn't stop moving from start to finish, about 7 hours, or so. 

These are the items most impressive and extraordinary in relation to my prior tree company experiences:

1.  Tree dropped piece by piece.  This is important if you have other trees around that could be damaged or a nice lawn.
2.  To keep cost down, they stacked the wood that was cut into manageable pieces. I will have someone needing free firewood come and get, later.  For $300, they would remove all wood, but I opted to save a few buck.
3.  Repaired lawn. If you have not had a large tree removed, then you need to know even the most attentive crew will still create large divots in the yard, but unlike others, these guys repaired the divots with top soil.  They really cared about my home.
4.  Clean up - these guys, again, were so courteous and attentive to leaving the yard and area as best they could.  I knew after stump griding I'd be resonsible for removing the large amount of chips and mulch left behind, but they got it off my grass and into a neat pile.  The rest of the yard, driveway, street, etc was raked clean of any debris, and trust me with almost a 100 ft. tree, there is plenty of debris.
5.  The owner, who happens to be the brother of the salesman/foreman, was onsite as well at the end to insure 100% satisfaction and would call out to his guys if he saw anything missed.

So, if you have tree work, really consider Stump Magic for all the things mentioned, and a super fair price.  I think 3 brothers are involved in running their business and boy do they run things the way you might think a small family business would run. 

Called them and they showed up the next day for estimate.  Came back the next day and removed  a 30 foot poplar tree and ground stump in less than an hour plus cut dead branches off an ash tree.  Have used them for other trees on two previous occasions.  I would recommend this company to anybody.

They were in the area and stopped to give me a business card as I was working in the yard. I thanked them and referred them to my neighbor who was waiting quite a while for an estimate from another firm. In the meantime, I came into the house and checked Stump Magic on Angie's list. They are listed, but there were no reports. I checked the better business rating and saw that it was A+.
I went outside and they showed me a copy of their insurance policy. They gave me an estimate of $630 and I told them to go ahead.

A crew of six men arrived the next morning in a nice truck with top notch equipment. They were neatly attired for a working crew. They immediately went to work on the project. They took no lunch and each of them was working all of the time: cutting limbs off the tree, cutting them into smaller pieces so they could be wheeled to the truck and constantly raking debris from the front yard and the street. After the tree was removed, one of the workers proceeded to grind away the large stump with the grinding machine. He ground beyond the tree diameter and as deep as perhaps 16and quot;'s. He also removed a few large roots that were growing away from the tree above the grass.
An excellent job! I will have them back next year. My neighbor was also quite pleased.
